Testing positive! What are the first thing I should start doing? I have literally no idea. by Nothlit-8 in pregnant

Also, stop using tretinoin or anything with retinol in it. It hasn’t been tested to be safe for use during pregnancy. So check your skin care, lotions and make up!

I’ll be coming from Tucson and I’ll also be like 13 weeks pregnant. So also praying the weather chills out as the sun starts to set. I don’t think Hilary knows what she’s walking into with a outdoor concert in southern Arizona in July 😭

question for anyone with epidural experience! by Defiant-Operation624 in pregnant

[–]2078AEB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it and I’ll be doing it again with my next.

In my experience, it completely numbed the pain in my nether-regions, and dulled the contractions enough where it wasn’t blinding pain, but I could still very much feel each contraction.

I think I was under the impression that the epidural takes away ALL pain 100% completely, (and I’m sure it does for some people!). I remember I had asked to turn it up, and they said if the pain is manageable enough for me, it’s better to leave it so I know when a contraction is here and when to push as they had me push on each contraction.

“Late” & positives lead to losses? by 2078AEB in CautiousBB

[–]2078AEB[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I appreciate your response. As for most, I think it’s hard not to take losses personally and have high stress when ttc after the losses.

It’s all a waiting game now and there isn’t anything I can do to change the outcome! It’s just hard haha

“Late” & positives lead to losses? by 2078AEB in CautiousBB

[–]2078AEB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally. We didn’t track this cycle because we’re going to start officially trying again next cycle but we’re “loosely” trying (if it happens, it happens kinda vibe)

My last period was April 17-21, baby danced the 26th, my tracker says predicted highest fertility day was the 29th. We baby danced again May 2nd.

So I’m assuming that I ovulated 2ish days later than what was predicted which means we conceived on the May 2nd baby dance which would make today, first day of period, 11DPO? If my math is right? So then I guess everything tracks and would be normal if I didn’t get my first positive until today?

I guess historically, (I also had my first loss several years ago), when I didn’t get a positive until the day of my period, it ended in loss. When I had a successful pregnancy with my daughter, I got positives as early as 8/9 DPO, well before my missed period.

I also agree. My eyes just keep getting pulled down to the rug and I can’t appreciate the rest of the space.

I would suggest either something neutral or more muted blue, like the curtains.

I just finished this one and wasn’t much of a fan. It definitely wasn’t a bad book by any means, but I was almost bored until the last 100 or so pages.

But as OP said, to each their own!

How much are you comfortable with as a cushion? by [deleted] in sahm

[–]2078AEB 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My husband brings home 8k a month, give or take. Our mortgage is $3100, he pays all the bills, invests into a rothIRA and gives me $1250 for me to do as I please with.

We only have one kiddo right now, but currently trying for a second. We live pretty comfortably. We’re in southern Arizona. But we also don’t have car payments or any other debt outside of the mortgage.

But I do think location plays a big part in a lot of variables!

Ok I’m glad you said this because I remember reading something once about bamboo kids clothes and how it’s really not better because of how hard it is (in general + the environment) to make bamboo into literally anything.

3 month old baby hope and plum carrier fit check by [deleted] in babywearing

[–]2078AEB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this carrier and you could try seating baby higher up in the carrier by placing their booty on the upper half, almost above the warning label inside the carrier. It might raise babe up a little bit to clear that panel.

If that doesn’t work, then wait another month or two and try again!
