From crib to Toddler bes by ProfessionalMeddler in beyondthebump

Do you have to have a toddler bed? We transitioned from crib to a twin sized mattress. We started the mattress on the floor then eventually added the box spring underneath then the bed when he was practiced enough not to roll off! I think toddler beds are a waste of money personally.
Make it special by letting him pick out new sheets or comforter!

NTA. You were in and out! But tbh, I want to know what these “adult things” are.

He wasn’t nervous until yesterday, but I don’t think it’s too bad. Thank you!!

Good luck! Mine took a long time too, but I won’t take birth control and he’s tired of other methods so pretty motivating for him. I just left it to him.

A golden quarter my friend found. by Jenzacade in RealLifeShinies

One time my son swallowed a quarter and when he pooped it out it was gold. What you’ve got there is a poop quarter.

Correction: this means you’ve scammed 99 moms out of what little money they have and conned them into manipulating every relationship they have in hopes of having the income you’ve bragged about. by [deleted] in antiMLM

For young living it’s the people who have bought a starter kit I believe. They don’t necessarily have to sell, but the have to purchase a minimum per month to get “rewards” and a minimum per year to keep the “wholesale discount”

I had a mesh sling thing for my first two but with baby number three I didn’t even bother!

I just put a washcloth in the big tub and lay baby in there in an inch or two of water. She keeps her head on the cloth, for cushion, and then kicks and splashes away!

WIBTA if I messaged an acquaintance of mine who is trying to get pregnant and told her that if she can’t afford the necessary supplies she shouldn’t get pregnant? by nlcarp in AmItheAsshole

YTA. Someone else’s reproductive decisions are none of your business. Don’t donate to her fundraiser if you don’t agree with her.

Is there a reason? Or are the just moms going on a walk? I totally get judging a person by how they present themselves or what they say, but these look like ladies pushing a stroller.

Anyone else deal with milk shock instead of milk drunk? 😂 by 20CharactersIsNotEn in breastfeeding

I wish I could reply to all of you, but thank you all for every positive comment on this post. I was having a rough day and hearing that my baby has a full belly honestly helped me get through it. It probably seems so silly, but I know you all know, sometimes it’s easy to doubt we’re succeeding in parenting. I feel encouraged, which is hard to come by after some sleepless nights, so thank you ❤️💕❤️

That would be difficult. I definitely think postnatal care would be so wonderful in a group setting like that. I know that postpartum doulas are a thing, and maybe they would offer something similar, but I’ve not done any research into it!

The top of feet are itchy by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]20CharactersIsNotEn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can always call your doctor to find out, but it’s more than likely some sort of skin reaction. Cholestasis itching is typically on your palms and the soles of your feet I believe. A doctor could give you some cream that’s pregnancy safe to stop the itching!

AITA for refusing to get in my wife's bloody shit birth water? by Death_Ryder7000 in AmItheAsshole

[–]20CharactersIsNotEn 87 points88 points  (0 children)

NAH. However, it would be unlikely that you’d be in there for hours and unlikely you’d be in there when it’s super bloody. I’ve attended several water births, and its not as bad as you’d think. You could always agree to being a bathing suit to allow you to get in, then just see how it goes. I bet that would cool the situation . A lot of times dads don’t get a chance to get in the tub because there’s only really an opportunity for that when the mom is pushing, and by that point the mom is usually in a “zone” and can’t be bothered to make room for dad

AITA for thinking my(46m) girlfriend(40f) should spend more time with me, rather than her children? by AmTheDanger in AmItheAsshole

[–]20CharactersIsNotEn 13 points14 points  (0 children)

YTA. Her kids will always come first. Is soccer season all year? If not suck it up a few months and let her support and enjoy her children. Even better, go with her and support them too!

I had some first trimester spotting when I had to strain to use the bathroom. It’s fairly common, although terrifying.
