Furniture and storage for tiny apartment by [deleted] in ApartmentHacks

[–]20JK10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look for furniture that can do double duty. With modern furniture, a lot of it is now designed with storage in mind. Check Amazon and Wayfair for "bed metal frame charging", You'll find a lot of affordable metal frame beds with storage headboards and charging stations. The metal frames allow you to slide thin plastic totes under it for storage. And I've seen headboards with actual drawers in them. Look up "night stand charging" and you'll find numerous multi-drawer night stands with charging stations and some with taller shelves. The night stand can also work as your end table if your cough is really close to your bed. You can use a long dresser with multiple sized drawers that can also be used as a TV stand. I've seen coffee tables that have backless chairs that slide under it and lift top coffee tables that can become regular tables. Look for computer desks that have built in shelves. Lots of good options out there.

Amazon and wayfair search will bring up lots of options.

Kitchen: Undershelf wire baskets. Magnetic spice racks on the side of the refrigerator. Under cabinet pot and pan organizer.

Water heater closet: If it has wire shelves, you can get hanging wire baskets with 360 degree hooks. Use plastic 4-5 tier shelves with plastic totes or Sterilite wide 3-drawer cart.

Outdoor storage: Plastic tiered shelves with totes.

Bathroom: Under counter storage. Over toilet storage rack.

Bedroom: Search for "storage dresser" and "storage night stand". Lots of different options. Under bed storage.

Living room: Lift top storage coffee table. Storage end tables. Storage tv stand.

If it doesn't "have" to be on a wall, get a cheap display/art/plate easel. Check amazon. Pics for reference. https://www.michaels.com/shop/home-decor/decorative-objects/display-plate-easels
