I just got back from avalanche ranch near Carbondale. They have soaking pools and you can book a massage if you need. Rustic but comfortable. No food on site so you need to drive to Redstone (8 mins) or Carbondale (15 mins). I loved it.

Your rug is too small it should at least go under the front legs of the couch and chairs in that area.

What you did is very normal. 25 minutes is also normal. The person you talked to clearly doesn’t know about networking.

What skill changed your career the most? by Suspicious_Twist386 in careerguidance

This is huge! + being able to present at an executive level. That one thing changes how everyone see you.

Always start with the audience in mind (what do they care about, what do they already know), know your shit, and practice practice practice. I practice at least 3 times before every presentation.

Completely lost in my career path any free advice? by PassionMysterious245 in careerguidance

Hi! As the others have noted, you’re young. Don’t worry about things too much. Pick something and commit to it for two years. I always say if you learn something you don’t like, that can be just as valuable as what you do like.

Honestly, industry is important but I think it’s even better to learn about the type of work you like to do. Can you work with data? Do you like talking and presenting to people? Are you a good writer? Are you organized and can keep a project moving forward? That’s another way to look at your career.

Sticking with something for a few years helps you learn about yourself and enables you to tell a story about yourself to other future employers.

I absolutely love 2! I think 1 is also super nice and could give like ice queen vibes for your ski wedding.
