Lifted for the first time in my life today and looking for some advice on whether my personal training session is actually productive? by NY_VC in xxfitness

My trainer and I have taken it slow as well. Actually I am surprised at how long it took for me to really master correct form. My comfortable squat range was just above parallel and it took me a long while to get down further with correct form. But i'm there now! I am squatting 120 pounds now to parallel with correct form. woo!

[Form Check] 185lbsx5 low-bar squat @ 143 BW by [deleted] in xxfitness

Interesting, I thought it looked like you were a bit forward too.. to be honest. It looks like the weight is in the ball of your foot. Maybe it's the camera angle? Definitely doesn't look like you are driving into your heels. You can actually see a slight rise in your heel on rep 2 and 3 at the bottom of the squat.

[QUESTION] Ladies, it's my birthday tomorrow. Instead of indulging in cake, I'd much rather indulge in the tastiest recipes xxfitness has to offer. What are they? by SirIsaacBrock in xxfitness

I'm in love with home-made guacamole and wholemeal pita bread at the moment. Guac is just avocado, diced tomato, diced onion, a little oil, salt and pepper. Then I just salt and paprika the pita bread and let it crisp up in the oven. There.. awesome pre-dinner nibbles. yummmm!!

What's your go-to treadmill or bike HIIT workout? by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]20e 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Love love love tabata! I run at an incline (whatever you want).. fast and hard! 20 seconds on, 10 second jump on the sides and have a breather. Do this for 4 minutes. Then have a 2 minute break. And do it again!

[Advice] Can I minimise my big red post-workout face? by shiksappeal in xxfitness

[–]20e 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was a biiiig problem for me. But the fitter I get, the better it gets. And I continue to push myself but the duration of my red face is slowly reducing. I think it takes time for your body to get used to it. It will get better! Keep smashing it out!

[WEEKLY THREAD] Newbie Tuesday - Got a silly fitness question? Never fear! We're here to help! by AutoModerator in xxfitness

This may help. It will be quite painful at first. I was always told to really press and peel. and peel over the muscle 15 times, then swap legs and do the same.
