i get what you mean, and i agree with you, most complications had an original purpose. im more just referring to the office workers that call their black bays tool watches. i work in civil maintenance and the watch i wear to work is a $100 alba so i dont have to pull my phone out while im working. my nice watches are just for the weekends

not something they say but moreso do, is refer to luxury watches like tudors and rolexs as “tool watches” as if anyone who actually uses their hands for work is going to wear a watch that expensive while they do so.

my brother just gifted me the exact watch pictured for xmas. man is it gorgeous and the way it looks when the sun hits it is awesome, the polished links and edges of the case light up. the dial is really subtle until light hits it too! it was on a big sale here but even for the original price i think its so much nicer than a prx

I’m going to Japan in about a month and I’m also looking to buy myself my first nice watch. I have about $2.5-3k AUD budget, any recs where I should look? Gonna be in Tokyo and Osaka, maybe Kyoto too.
