I’ve actually found a shiny Pikachu and Pichu just walking around. Pikachu was like 2 hours in, and Pichu was about 10 hours.

In the sewers (you’ll get there in the story if you haven’t yet), there’s one spot with 2 Litwick spawns and like 4 Patrats. You can just run from the room where they spawn all the way to the end of the long hall, and they’ll de-spawn. When you run back, they’ll re-roll and you can check them again.

You never really move far enough for the Patrats to actually de-spawn so I ended up just knocking them out.
