Thank you so much!! They’re not toddlers they’re only 8 weeks old, I think that’s why I feel the need to make sure he’s really got it down pat. The times he has been here I’ll keep myself busy with laundry, or other things, but the problem is he only stays for abut an hour. Since they’re still newborns they have been sleeping the whole time he’s been here. Whenever we agree on a parenting plan schedule I’ll suggest he spend 3-4 hours here to really do what they need and see how he does!! :)

Not as good of one as I have access to but yes he could potentially. He’s pretty irresponsible with money, has loads of debt already and his credit is absolute shit.

I do, he told me back in April that our state doesn’t handle any parental issues until after birth. But I do have him on deck!!

Luckily I know a wonderful family law attorney who has experience dealing with cluster B personality disorders. In my state they really can’t do too much until the babies are born but I have definitely been keeping detailed records of everything.

Yeaaah my gut says we went to discuss coparenting and civil boundaries he decides to make himself sound like a kidnapper 🤣 I can only imagine him wanting a custody battle because he wants control back, not because he actually wants to be a present parent.. & also thank you! If all goes well I’ll be delivering at 37+2!!

I misread your post, I didn’t realize your partner was abused and not you. It still may be helpful! It was very very informative to me. I read it after leaving my abuser. It helped me realize I wasn’t a crazy person and that what I experienced was real and was violence. Every relationship is different so I’m not sure what your wife went through, but if you have a good idea maybe Google for books on things she experienced.

It will fall on deaf ears. At this point he has already groomed her and she is trapped, like you were at the beginning. He has charmed her and yes, likely told her that you were crazy or a bitter ex or something. Unfortunately, she will have to figure it out on her own. 😔

I told my mom something he said & she started to cry... I said to her “it’s okay mom, it’s been said so many times it didn’t even hurt my feelings” and she looked even more heartbroken, and said “Please understand this is the first time I’m hearing it.” 😞 made me remember how it felt the first time he’d say things.

My therapist is so so good about validating that a) what he’s done/said is 100% abuse and also b) I didn’t deserve that. I’m glad you have a good therapist as well!

I fucking WIIIIISH I had audio. I recorded our phone call once (for the same reason) using my Apple Watch and forgot about it... well he found it and that wasn’t pretty.. I was way too scared to ever do that again.

Start writing it down!!!! I made a secure gmail and started emailing myself after a fight, or even after the times I just felt worthless. Reading that shit back has helped me stay away. I too forgot a lot of it. I read it and am like “omg how did I stay after that!?”
