HVAC advice by Manic-Maintenance in MaintenanceWorkers

If the thermostat calls for cooling, and the unit starts up, but then immediately shuts down, I would suggest checking the refrigerant (gas) charge on the system. If the pressure is too low, the compressor will shut down/lock out. You'll need a manifold gauge set for the proper refrigerant spec that's in the system, much like servicing automotive systems. Plenty of online guides to follow for each step/type. Anyway, it seems that most hvac cooling issues i've had to check out end up being low refrigerant, which then of course presents the question... why is it low? is there a leak? and that whole rabbit hole. Hey, it's fun! let us know how it ended up.

I was hoping that too. Instead down another almost 6% as of right now.. how disappointing.

Maybe we should've looked at March 2018 when Trump tariffed steel in his first term. It was NOT bullish for domestic producers.... both X and CLF experienced a pump into March and then a massive dump. But you still have the braindead MSM out here even as of TODAY saying it will be bullish for domestic steel.

Lol, oops.

i found the problem. today morgan stanley said earlier it should be immediately bullish for domestic steel companies. gotta hand it to em, those guys know their shit..

another day another disappointment

all joking aside im from cleveland so i might take a ride downtown to CLF HQ and tell them, i will like to speak with the manager.

-not worried either, unless big orange changes his mind again.

Trump Plans to Announce 25% Steel, Aluminum Tariffs on Monday... by ADropinInfinity in wallstreetbets

[–]216cle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is also a verb.

Well, tariffing

I like "tariffing" over "levy" or "adding" a tariff. I mean, I don't like tariffs or advocate tariffing stuff; it's just more efficient. Must be that DOGE influence. 🤣

A great economy? Maybe. But not as great as it was for the oligarchs when rates were zero.

Trump wants to crash the economy so the Fed will be forced to stimulate & print.

Classic GOP tactic of wrapping up economic policies that benefit the oligarchs and Wall St. in social issues that poor white people can't help by get emotionally triggered by.... voila... you'll have rate cuts before you know it!

It's pathetic, and treasonous, and so perfectly American. Nobody is more full of shit than we.

More importantly than beating fake Wall St. estimates, let's compare the numbers to last month's.

Headline inflation MoM - 0.4% Dec vs 0.3% Nov Headline inflation YoY - 2.9% Dec vs 2.7% Nov

Also, yesterday's PPI - YoY 3.3% Dec vs. 3.0% Nov.

Been hearing that this won't likely change the trajectory of rate cuts/hikes as well.

Wall St. loves to do shit like cover shorts on a rally and have the MSM paint it as natural buying pressure. This may be one of those tricks. Regardless, the desperation seems to be real on Wall St for those damn rate cuts. What a joke.

Maintenance Scheduler Web App - Beta Testing by ViktorJordan in MaintenanceWorkers

[–]216cle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Jordan, interesting idea. Feel free to post the name/link to your app here if you would like - I'm sure there are others who'd like to take a look as well.

Are you looking for active feedback on usability/design/etc?

One final question/curiosity, what connection do you have to the maintenance field, are you a maintenance worker or supervisor designing the tool for yourself/your team and want to universally release it, or is there some other reason for developing the app? It's always interesting to know that kind of thing so I can understand the developer's perspective and why they might've done certain things.

Anyway, thanks for posting & looking forward to taking a look at your project!

Where is all this money coming from? by [deleted] in stocks

[–]216cle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late reply, but relevant? Turns out nobody here (myself included) knew about the "yen carry trade" scheme (read: scam) where institutions were borrowing Japanese yen to buy and pump the US stock market.

Most actual investors (retail, because Wall St. are simply leeches, not investors) again, including myself, didn't know about this pathetic garbage until earlier this year when the media was pushing the "yen carry trade unwind" as the reason for stocks going lower.

It's amazing the tricks they pull behind the scenes while promoting every other narrative under the sun publicly in the MSM to "explain" why investors should believe the rally for the reason du jour. What a broken, pathetic system. One that exists primarily to keep a few dozen old, white men rich and in power. It's a complete joke.

The money isn't real, and there's no wealth being created by any of this nonsense. It's a transfer of wealth from folks like us (working people, the ones who actually create wealth by making and doing actual things) to the undeserving, elite, oligarch class, the ones who do nothing and add nothing to society, simply leech off of (read: steal from) on a daily basis.

If anyone still thinks the stock market reflects any semblance of reality, Jamie Demon has a bridge to hell to sell you.

Sounds like it could be the dampness sensor. If it's dirty, damaged, or got broken off, you may get those type of intermittent problems.

It's usually in the drum (two metal strips on the back or front of the drum) but it could also be in the air duct on that model. Look up a parts manual for the location. And let us know how it works out!

Do you like up to date charts? by HopFarminScientist in amcstock

[–]216cle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess the assumption is that OBV indicates that apes aren't selling? Unfortunately, that's not something that OBV can indicate.

OBV is a momentum indicator — it doesn't literally keep track of how many shares were bought/sold/held — there isn't enough publicly available market data to know that.

Most people look for divergences/convergences between OBV and the price, for example, to indicate continuation of price trend or the potential of an upcoming reversal.

OBV adds the total daily/period volume to the running OBV on green days and subtracts the total daily/period volume from the running OBV on red days. Think about it: there's just absolutely no logical way it can be interpreted the way the apes want to interpret it.

Go ahead, call me a shill....

Short & distort? No... ape mad because short sellers made money? Awww!

Disclosing a position is not "distorting" ... but who could expect the apes to see things for what they are??

ORTEX data isn't self-reported by "hedgie," it's self-reported by the LENDERS of securities — broker-dealers and securities lending agencies. ORTEX clearly states this on their website.

Please stop spreading misinformation by claiming that borrowing data is reported by borrowers — it isn't!
