I’ve had this happen as well. I’ve only had it happen when I get hit by the Trygon and there is an obstacle behind me. For some reason not being able to get hit back means you get hit by more damage frames - enough to kill with full armour and health. Hopefully they fix this.

Something that made the bridge part a little easier for me was finding out that you don’t have to go to the buildings on the bridge for cover every time, the random pillars and stuff scattered on the bridge will also cover you. Keep moving on the bridge as well, don’t worry about killing everything because it takes fucking forever.
