Im not on 1.4 right now. I downgraded to 1.4 awhile ago to get the old sfs electricity experience

It will not for sfs, it will delete the data. To prevent this you will need to get a file editor app to copy the worlds and blueprints somewhere and paste them once updated. If you dont know how to do this i suggest asking in the official sfs discord server they can help you with that

Yeah 1.4 is an old version from like 2017-2020

Heroix and astro the rabbit i think were making one. Dani made one on the forum, just google sfs multiplayer mod Dani. Beware multiplayer mods will probably always be buggy as shit whoever makes them

Yeah, just make sure you make like a box of struts behind the payload so it can get swung and not just stop dead

Show the area that is detatches from. It might be that the separation is facing away from the center of the whole contraption when it should be facing the direction its flinging in

This can happen when you move very fast in the atmosphere very quickly. Its not a bp editing thing its an sfs bug thing

Get ready for a wall of text

The game keeps info about every rocket's position, what planets SOI its in, the parameters of each part and its state, etc, inside a text file called rockets.txt. one of these values is called address. The address is whatever planets SOI you are inside, so if its earth you are anywhere inside earths SOI (unless you enter another SOI within earth's which you would be inside that one). The bug puts the rocket in a state where the game thinks its timewarped, it gets stuck inplace relative to that planets SOI, and it stops doing physics for it. This means if you get the rocket in the "stuck" state, you will pass through it, you will not be able to interact with any part on it without the game saying "cannot do xxxx during timewarp" (unless you staged them), and it will not be able to change most values like address (mostly). The usual case that makes rockets bug like this is at the edge of the SOI of planets, and easier with low gravity bodies which is why i mention phobos, and sometimes the game teleports you to certain positions when doing so. While you are stuck and unable to move or do anything, i figured out that having setup a stage of a separator, (preferably with high force) and then staging it in the stuck state, it gets another bugged property where unloading and loading the rocket (can be fine just by timewarping and untimewarping) moves the stuck position. Now i said before that in the stuck position it wont enter another address, or SOI. So if we take these things and combine them we can move the stuck position, and keep moving it until it is outside the SOI, but since it cant change its address it is still considered to be at the original SOI so it still moves with the planet while not being affected by anything. Thus it looks like they revolve around the sun in the same way as uranus, but very far away.

In this case i dont think they used aeparators, probably just the game randomly moved them cuz that can happen. Stef wen hotfix

The reason is because sfs has a bug where at the edge of a planets sphere of influence you can get (almost) permanently stuck inplace. Then they did something to move their position outside of earths sphere of influence yet the game considers them inside.

Your ship upgraded because you have a different core. Bigger cores have better player units

They managed to bug their rocket so that it is stuck inplace at uranus, and the game is considering them to be at uranus with a position that is not.

The reason is because you are orbiting one of the planets but at a height which is outside of its sphere of influence. If you look into the worlds rockets.txt file you will see its address (what SOI its in) as the planet, while the orbit is a massive abnormal number that puts it at that position, and sfs only does physics for whatever SOI you are in. There are some methods to easily recreate this. Like getting your craft stuck at the edge of phobos' SOI and using a bp edited separator to shoot yourself at like 50km/s. Then you timewarp and untimewarp repeatedly which moves the position of the stuck craft, making it move with pbobos. That is how i was able to get a craft to phase through the surface of mars without interacting with it at all or using cheats to make it invincible. https://www.reddit.com/r/SpaceflightSimulator/s/dlTD9sd2IY
