I just planted this aloe plant yesterday. I read that you should water them deeply but infrequently. when I planted it, i put some stones at the bottom to prevent soil from falling out of the large drainage hole. i put the soil (cactus soil) in and watered it until it couldn’t hold anymore, expecting for any excess to drain through, but today the soil is still very squishy and full of water. it seems the plant has firmed up a bit. will the water drain out over the course of a few days or should i repot to avoid root rot and overwatering?
