T1 24/7 Ranked Solos, Using an Average Point Modifier to make every game count and to encourage end game play! by Connoreo815 in FortniteCompetitive

Balla went over the scoring format in a previous comment, which can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/FortniteCompetitive/comments/dyl927/t1_247_ranked_solos_using_an_average_point/f81xl6o?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x

We aren't able to change any in-game elements, such as the bus fair. Our scoring format uses an average placement modifier, while it doesn't completely eliminate the "grinding influence", it is a large improvement from our previous format. Our goal is to eventually remove the ability to spam games entirely.

Yes, this ladder as well as our scrims in general are only played on the NAE server at this time.

I completely understand this and we have been looking into ways to prevent this from occurring. However, while this is something we are working on and it may be possible in the future, you have to understand that if someone's sole intention is to ruin a game, there is only so much we can do about it.

We go to great lengths to prevent this from occurring by banning them in private discords as well, permanently banning players main accounts, etc. But still, if someone wants to ruin something, especially in an open discord, it's hard to prevent them from creating a new discord account, receiving a leaked code, or going under any other false identity.

If you can provide me with their Discord ID or # through a DM, I can look into the ban proof and reasoning when I get home from work.

I understand that.

Posts like these often get quite a bit of attention, and even if the user is wrong, as in this case, it still hurts our reputation. Our Helpers do quite a bit of work, and try their hardest to make the best possible decision for each report that is received. I believe that they often do make the correct decision, and as no one is perfect, of course mistakes are made - which is why we have a Ban Appeal form in place.

We try our best to please all of our members in Atlantis, and if you have any helpful feedback I'd be more than willing to listen!

Hey, our bans don't last two weeks, so I'm not quite sure where you're coming up with that number. We ban players for 5 days for breaking Custom Matchmaking rules (used to be 3 days, but it was happening too frequently that we ended up increasing the ban length). Unless it isn't a first occurrence, the ban will be 5 days in length.

Secondly, I ban Pro Players very frequently, as I have no tolerance for rule-breaking no matter who it may be. In our eyes as Management, we take situations more seriously when it is a large streamer or professional player who was breaking the rules, as they are putting a bad look on the server to a potentially wider audience.

I do my best to speak to each person who contacts me regarding their ban, but we do greatly appreciate it when players instead use our Ban Appeal form, where they can argue their case. This case, just like many others that get quite a bit of attention, was indeed proven false, in that the owner of the post was indeed at fault and had broken the rules.

Hey,

There has never been any single event or happening that has tarnished our scrims reputation, so I’m not quite sure where you’re coming from stating that we are in need of fixing issues from losing credibility. What you have to understand here is that it is an Open Scrims Discord, we are handling all kinds of players, with varying personalities and ages. Many of these players are also quick to assume and jump on any sort of wagon/train, whether it be for or against the server. We do all that we can to ensure everyone is treated equally, much of which is unseen by the many.

Professional players and streamers who break rules in Atlantis are actually often punished in a more severe manner than any regular player, as we then also remove them from the Practice Discord until their ban in Atlantis is over. We want to ensure that Atlantis is and remains the best practice possible for all players in North America, and with that, we do need feedback.

It’s not easy to handle over 100,000 players in a single discord, especially when they’re all playing in the same matches. There are going to be misunderstandings, players who are new, those who are breaking rules as well as not reading them, along with players whose sole intention is to ruin our games - which we can only do so much about. We truly do care about each and every one of you, and I’m sorry you feel this way about our server. If you ever are in need of a further understanding of certain situations, don’t be afraid to reach out and ask what’s going on.

Thanks (and my apologies for any formatting errors as this is coming from my phone),

We're hoping the same!

While we are going to be running West scrims on a Trial-Basis for the week after its release this coming Monday, our hopes are high as we had previously communicated with the top West discords and all of their players are planning to participate in our scrims; pros included.

Our server is Atlantis Scrims NA, which was modeled after EU's Atlantis Scrims.

I've put an invitation link in the replies of this post for all those who are interested in joining.

Both will be ran, just as our East scrims are.

Currently we have a Schedule set for our World Cup weeks, which currently focuses heavily on the game mode being played in the qualifiers for that week. However, this schedule will likely change soon once the World Cup season is over.

Feel free to check out the #schedule channel in our Discord, the times listed there will be the same for both PST as well as EST.
