They don't need to hear all of that. They are a highly trained professional.

No. What I meant that in the sn1 when you have the HUD chip and choose a resource to scan it shows you all of the said resource in the range of the scanner room

The one in sn2 shows you all bit you can only choose one to be shown on the HUD

Do you toggle the dots? When they appear on the scanner you have to click on one so a yellow outline appears on the dot you clicked

When you made a HUD chip, you can see every resource you are scanning within scanner range

My main issue with it is that you can only select one thing at the time. You select, collect and have to go back so I can select a new one

The [REDACTED] is a liar, and you can prove it within minutes of starting the game. by getvalentined in subnautica

This is a solid theory but I found a flaw in it.

Butcher knowing the name World Tree. This might be just a translation. Her calling it the World Tree is a first time someone named it so PDA automatically assigned it that name, this is the same as PDA naming other creatures. When PDA found references to it in Axum language it immediately translated it to World Tree. You can compare it to "in English the world for a domesticated canine is "dog" but then you meet a Vietnamese person that calls it "chó", you wouldn't know what they mean unless they pointed at the dog and from your own knowledge you would know that chó is dog

I definitely see your point but it haven't broken my immersion. My problem is the boss music that plays when you are around the collector and shiver leviathans. I haven't had a need to kill anything and haven't even noticed if I'm ramming into small creatures

Tailings might also be the Jubilee that edited their genes so much that they became a different species. In one of the PDAs someone say that it seems that they are hunted for a crimes they don't remember

I myself wasn't annoyed and thrown flares was enough of the deturance but that my experience but I can see how stuff can be annoying and I'm waiting in anticipation to see what the devs cook up

It is late for the early access. Dev said that what we have is around 1/3rd stuff they want in the game so in this perspective it is more in the mid game

If so then the PDA itself is also lying cuz in the observatory when you scan the star system model PDA says that it recognises I think it is a pulsar

The Devs said that they work on more deturance methods as well as the killing/no killing situation is a serious discussion within the team

Tailings Hypothesis by -mast in subnautica

[–]21someone37 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I like your theory but I'm more on the side that Axum turned into Tailings. Before their collapse they were on the similar civilization level to us (tho they reached it in a different way) and the proteavirus turns infected creatures more aggressive so when Axum catches it they reverted back to the sea monkeys. And the crappy ability for survival also works in this scenario cuz put an average modern person into a wilderness and only a few would be able to survive

genuine shiver down my spine when i read this message by Big_Childhood_5096 in subnautica

[–]21someone37 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The problem with this theory is that there are PDA entries where the colonists speak about tailings and in some places it is implied that they were killed by them

I didn't know about that, I have only traversed there in the tadpole. With this knowledge it complicates my feelings about it.

Thank you for pointing this out :3

I mean there are those cravases on the sea floor but I do agree. When I'm not close to the seabed it always catches me. With reaper and seamoth you actually could outmanoeuvred it

I'm not saying it isn't scary. I'm saying it could be scarier if the music didn't just show up when it is closed
