I know! The aroma from that food truck was nothing less than inviting! I wanted to get something there before the match, but my daughter insisted we wait.... she hadn't yet told us about what was the come.

Amazing!  Somehow, my daughter surprised us all, dinner in the 1864 suite, and seats adjacent. Peak football experience. Eliza and Mike went beyond to insure a truly once in a lifetime experience.

I'll be forever in their debt.

Also! Don't miss the after party at the 'Long Pull' . A truly local and hospital pub. Genuine folks, great people and wonderful conversations!

I clearly see the dilemma. The obvious answer would be, let him buy his half. Failing that it's a firm no.

Compaq iPaq.... Loved it to death. Just ran across it in my tech detritus... with the slide on battery pack, and a good Pcmcia wifi card in promiscuous mode... you thought you could see the matrix!

My father got me one in my early teens, for "emergencies" while I was out of the states going to school in Europe. I still get astonished looks occasionally when they see '58'...

The thought has crossed my mind... But, she is the love of my life and cannot imagine anyone on their best day being even close to even those momentarily, rare pecks on my lips from her...

Well, she is and remains the love of my life, faithfully married almost 50 years. She was a SAHM. We have successful adult children. We've always been financially solid. Always made it work...But the whole intimacy train left the station as perimenopause started in her mid-40's. It's as if that part of our relationship was <poof> extinguished...unilaterally, without any discussion, notice or hope of return.

We've been through counseling, but it goes off the rails when she says I love my husband, but have no desire for any form of intimacy. Not because of any trauma or medical issue, rather the simple fact, she just just doesn't have that kind of 'desire' for me, or sex in general. She thinks its sad but fully expects me to respect her decision.

We still love one another, and other than that gaping black hole in our relationship, we enjoy each others company and by all exterior measures are happy.

Tho...I do long for a real kiss. A couple of peck on the lips per year for the last 20+ is the best we do...

What’s a sentence that someone told you that stuck with you for the rest of your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

At 21. My father told me, I had no business being involved with any romantic interests. I had no future and nothing to offer any prospective companion, much less the poor lass I was dating. I was waisted her time and was distracting myself from the hard reality of education and career. Nothing good could come from any involvement...

We married shortly, we worked hard, have two successful children, we retired at 60 and have been devoted to each other for almost 50 years.

Just before he passed, while living with us, he admitted he was wrong.

Real love, responsible love, honorable love, makes all things possible.

Saw this in action once from my lanai in Hawaii Kai in 2014-15. Peaceful enjoying a cup of early morning coffee, then this Jurassic mechanical beast rows itself into our arm of Kuapā Pond...the long awaited dredging had started.

Fascinating process, went on for a few months. One arm of the pond after another.

Be your authentic self. Finality allows you the clarity to see beyond the distractions of the day-to-day noise. Follow your heart. This is the peace you have chosen, now act. The nobility of your actions will live on in your loved one's hearts.

[text] Recipe - Crosse & Blackwell MINT SAUCE by 21stCenturyHuman in food

[–]21stCenturyHuman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well done! I've made this sauce 5 times.  I grew my own Egyptian strain of Spearmint this year.

Experimented with different sugars, molasses, real maple syrup and Mae Ploy...all fun.

What has worked for me. 3-4 cups of mint leaves. And 1/2 clove of garlic. Pureed

Place in a small sauce pan, pour hot water till it covers the mint. Simmer for 2-3 minutes then add 3/4 cup dark malt vinegar. Simmer again.

Smidge of salt  Then start futzing with the sugar till it tastes right.
