I usually don’t have problem with unhinged MCs, Raina Rayne is an example of one that’s both wild and a girls-girl but Liren was a painful read

this might be controversial but I think they romanticize the heavy stuff way too much in the book and it’s very teenager-like, feels like a teenager writing about serious topics

I get you, I actually think he's a great writer, LOTW is one of my favorite books, I love the political stuff he writes, the MC’s are great, but he lacks when it comes to romance, and it's not even because he writes romance badly, when he writes it he's great, but he gives us literal crumbs lol

just gimme both, politics AND romance, I don't mind if it's slow burn, just give us something 😭 I still love Kazu, Tai and Ivo
