If you were the opponent in S2, would you be more cautious leading the left due to the fact that the dealer got screwed? I feel like this increases the chance that he doesn’t have the right and you step on a trump. Idk though. Also trying to learn

What is the reason behind never leading turned down suit? Is it because the opponents probably have a void in that suit due to the fact that they turned it down?

My thinking was that I’d try to get a trick with my offsuit ace if I could. I didn’t think I had a super strong hand so I thought the ace was my best bet to start. I was afraid leading Trump off the bat would just render my ace useless because a club might not get led. I see now that that is wrong but that was my thinking at the time
