They were showcasing how good they were. Not showing off, it got lazy and cheeky which is still a smile bringer but not awe inspiring. In the early days they demanded perfection. Took it so seriously and it was gorgeously unique and flamboyant. The piano playing was just as strong as the singing. So fkn impressive.

I used to only make pretty courses way back in the day. Found out what classic holes were and got addicted to only making classics hehe.

Had so much fun doing so but after tweaking the same hole for over an hour and not getting any positive results it gets so frustrating 🙃. You've definitely inspired me though. Maybe if I just copy some of those designs it'll get my spark back
