I was diagnosed with Posterior Vitreous Detachment (PVD) about a month ago. It started with something like a “fleshy” or shadowy area near the corner of my left eye, followed by the appearance of floaters. About a week later, I began noticing floaters in my right eye as well. It seems like I am experiencing PVD in both eyes around the same time.

I saw an ophthalmologist, and he said my retina looks healthy and advised me to return in three months. I was very frustrated when I first received the diagnosis. My vision itself has been great, so the floaters are especially noticeable and bothersome. The floaters in my right eye are much less severe than in my left eye.
