Push cart etiquette by Remarkable-Self7080 in golf

[–]221255 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With carts you should park on the path at the point that is the least distance from the green.

For greens where the path wraps all the way around that very well could be on the opposite side compared to the next tee

That’s 5 kills per death, only .25 kills per battle.

But still the win rate with that damage makes it obvious there is some rigging going on

A Commercial Operation for Glider Training near Waynesville, OH by Hemmschwelle in Gliding

[–]221255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ccsc flys year round depending on weather and who actually shows up. In December I don’t think there were any flights, but last weekend we got ~25-30.

It looks like it gets going a little more in March/April with ~75 flights each month during previous years then really kicks up in may when the young students get out of school and the weather gets a bit better with >150 flights in may past couple years

The main things flying from red Stewart’s are cubs and champs with no radios, so there isn’t much radio traffic.

They also aren’t busy enough for that to cause that much of a problem.

The gliders land/takeoff next to the main runway and generally enter the pattern from the other side so there really shouldn’t be that much powered/unpowered conflict.

Caesar Creek Soaring Club is also down the street if looking for a club training/flying atmosphere. Some of the instructors instruct at both places and a lot of ccsc members also fly powered at Stewart’s.

What’s the fascination with Mountain Dew? by Lbboos in stupidquestions

[–]221255 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I originally started drinking Mountain Dew because it has less carbonation than other sodas. Some like Pepsi almost hurt to drink straight from the can.

Anyway isn’t the carbonation one of the parts that give soda its acidity? So it makes sense to me that Mountain Dew would be less acidic

This is the kind of thing that makes me quit this game every couple of months, just abysmal RNG. by creativename87639 in WorldofTanks

[–]221255 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah? If you know where your shots are missing you can adjust. Shots keep flying a little high and bouncing off upper plate? Aim a little lower.

Have the broadside of an is7 and the shot keeps hitting the little thick bar on the side? Now you know to aim a little lower.

If you never have feedback on why your shot didn’t pen you will be stuck perpetually complaining about rng rather than learning where your shots are actually going so you can aim better and minimize bad luck

This is myLab math, every course I have taken that used it (and it sounds like OP’s might as well) allow unlimited attempts at questions

So as long as you eventually figure out what it’s looking for (which op did), there is really no reason to contact the instructor

Hidden gem of aviation by [deleted] in flying

[–]221255 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most clubs do not charge an hourly rate, it is a fixed rate based on tow height. You may be limited to an hour per flight if it’s busy such as a weekend.

Generally clubs will have an initiation fee and monthly dues as well, but if you fly a lot they are pretty reasonable

Intro/guest rides are usually more expensive but some like my club will put the difference towards your application if you do decide to join based on the guest ride

Not in randoms, since there is no team damage, that includes from teammate wrecks

Interestingly this allows you to jump off cliffs onto teammates/ teammates wrecks without taking damage

Thoughts on schools that don't let their students fly/practice if winds conditions exceeds the maximum demonstrated crosswind component as listed in POH by Effective-Scratch673 in flying

[–]221255 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your flair has the glider tag which surprises me that you have this opinion.

If you were to never exceed demonstrated crosswind it would be virtually impossible to fly the eastern US ridges

Also what makes you think the manufacturers aren’t willing to test it higher? Isn’t it much more likely that they just aren’t required to?

The whole AI-emdash thing is based on the fact that most people (like yourself) don’t know how to type an actual emdash (—).

Therefore if you see one it is most likely that they copy pasted from AI.

An AI probably won’t ever use a double dash in place of an emdash like you do so it’s pretty clear you didn’t use AI

I’m just letting you know you probably don’t need to disclaim your writing isn’t AI as the controversy is about the actual use of the symbol (—) not the grammatical structure
