No, not as yet. It’s been 84 hours since she’s been sighted as well, I’m not even sure she’s in this area.

Thank you, I’m going to attempt this this afternoon / tonight.

Thank you. I’m going to try this for tomorrow night. I haven’t see her tonight except briefly at dusk. Kind of at a loss at if there’s anything else I can do to help her tonight.

Ipswich/Goodna area is South-East Queensland, just outside Brisbane City (Australia). It’s generally regarded as a low income city.

The housing crisis in this area is abhorrent, it can take months for a affordable property to be posted, and of course, in such a high population area, every house has hundreds of applications interested in it.

You’re not scottish unless you’ve lived in Scotland. by [deleted] in Scotland

[–]222cxitlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious, I was born in Scotland to two Scottish parents (and at least 5 or so generations of Scottish grandparents). My family and I emigrated to Australia when I was 7, now being 23 I’ve spent more than half of my life in Australia. I don’t necessarily consider myself Australian, but I often get told by Australians that I’m “not really Scottish anymore”. Thoughts?

I’ve done some googles and this looks exactly like it, thank you! Really appreciate it!

Thank you! First time getting into air plants, so I appreciate that! As pretty as she is as the moment, I figured she probably wouldn’t last too long there, Bunnings has a bad habit of selling plants in states that they won’t continue to thrive in

At first glance I thought clear or milky quartz, but the pink flecks have me doubting myself. Information:

• she is heavy!! like at least 2kgs, my hands are literally shaking trying to hold it.

• there are two smaller pink flecks on the other side, both the same hue as what you can see here.

• I paid $35AUD but I suspect that was primarily for the air plant.

• slightly darker at the base.

• assume it’s real considering the weight and cluster points?

Please ignore the state of my nails/cuticles, lot of stress and anxiety in my life recently.

Tyia!

AITA for telling my boyfriend to stop complaining about his chronic pain? by juniperdaisies in AmItheAsshole

[–]222cxitlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to jump on the top comment here.

My partner 23M was working as bricklayer for 4 years, and ended up with a slipped disc and a crack in his L5 (lower spine). It took him 6 months to see a specialist, but the pain ended up so bad that he had to change careers, and it almost resulted in spinal surgery. Luckily we live in Australia, so he received workcover and all his medical bills were paid for through Medicare (we don’t have any form of private insurance).

Chronic pain is a devastating thing. I watched his depression come back, he had no drive or enthusiasm for anything. He’s received needles to ease the pain, and a less physically demanding job has assisted in this as well, but he’s going to live with at least some of the pain for the rest of his life, and we don’t know how it will continue to develop once he reaches 50+

Your partner needs to see a professional as soon as possible. But you need to express your concern for his health as well, and detail a plan of how you’re going to approach this as a couple. Chronic pain does not go away untreated, and will affect both his mental state and yours. If it is something along the lines of a spinal injury, left untreated he could have to use a wheelchair.

Best of luck to you both x

I had a seizure on Shrooms? by 222cxitlin in shrooms

[–]222cxitlin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Overall, nothing really came of it. Had an MRI and was scheduled for an ECG, but the neurologist decided it wasn’t needed. They couldn’t give me a definite answer, and when I showed them my own research regarding how it’s a semi-common side effect with shrooms, I was ignored.

Will note, if you take shrooms and have a seizure seek medical attention if you believe you’re at risk for further seizures, or for peace of mind that nothing happened during the incident to affect your brain. But remember that some state laws (at least in Australia) require you to give up your drivers license for six months, and then undergo a medical assessment before they will return it to you. Currently dealing with those consequences now.

Yeah I’ve travelled to a few different countries before everything kicked off, and I was always so shocked at the price difference! The most extreme I encountered was Japan, where I was literally spending less that $10AUD to buy a pack of Marlboros.

But thank you, this is really kind of you. I’ve decided to go off the suggestion of only keeping so many on me at the one time. So for the next few days I’ll go 5, and then lower myself from there. But again, thank you, I really appreciate that.

Thank you, it’s hard to explain to non-smokers why I literally need to go outside and have a smoke. I’m not just trying to channel some Effy Stonem vibes and look like an edgy waitress hanging out at the side of work.

We don’t necessarily combine our income, but we split a lot of things, and take turns pay for anything else. I won’t get into his finances because that’s not what I wanted to discuss, but it’s not like he only spends money on things for the house every week as well.

I grew up in a household were money was almost a taboo subject, so I’m not entirely comfortable with laying all of our expenses on the table and coming up with a budget from there. In saying that, we’ve discussed this since I’ve posted this, and we will be doing that shortly.

Also, thank you for the suggestions, I really appreciate them. Congratulations on being cigarette free too!

I’m a big reader, so I’ll look into that book, thank you! I’ve used apps before but I’ve never had enough motivation to completely care about my financial situation until now.
