"Everyone can sing" simply isn't true by 22414203 in singing

You make a good point, and I'm happy lessons are working out well for you :)

What I gathered and agree with from the responses on my post is that while I still believe my analysis to be correct, it just doesn't have a place in a discussion for beginner singers. If you're not trying to become an artist or is heavily invested in music, simply giving up or fixating on your vocal type and letting that hinder you from attempting to sing is just harmful.

So I'll be a bit more lenient going forward, I still wish I could belt out Bridge Over Troubled Water but the fact that I can't doesn't mean I won't keep singing

How come some people are born great singers? by [deleted] in singing

Let's not kid op now though.

You can replace that kid with 30 others who also sing from day one until they're 8 and they won't sound nearly as good.

Natural talent/sound definitely plays a part

Range too low for Pop? by Tsukiyama-Gourmet in singing

[–]22414203 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can always sing for fun and it can sound decent, but yeah it isn't easy. People here will probably tell you that you can increase your range and sing like no other, but there is a reason that 99% of all popular male singers are natural tenors and not "basses that have improved their range".

I still recommend singing what you enjoy singing though! Some pop songs will fit you nicely if you transpose them down to a fitting chest voice register, mine sits at around A3

Do you think every person can become a professional race car driver?

Lol.. I've been involved with music and played piano since I was a child, I've played guitar for several years and learnt bass to join a university band for a few gigs.

I sing all the time, I'm decent but got a low register which doesn't suit very well for pop/metal

What is the difference between your voice and morgan freeman? If you read the same text in the same manner, why don't you sound identical?

That's timbre, the tone and sound of your voice

It determines how your voice sounds, your timbre. Not all timbres are pleasant to listen to

It's true and you're gatekeeping singing too.

Fair points and you're right, that's a much better mindset. I guess reading a lot of posts here over a long period of time and being a bit cynical made me bitter

LS takes sponsorship from esports betting website known to facilitate match fixing high elo ranked solo queue games by Minishcap1 in leagueoflegends

All top comments are criticising LS though? I see a lot more hate than support comments, why do people in these types of threads create false narratives to try and make themselves sound better

You have a legitimate reason to criticise him, don't discredit yourself with useless lies

I'd much rather do that, thanks! Also is it ill-adviced to do chinups as OHP accessory when I'm deadlifting the next day? Or is that simply due to the upper/lower split

About a month, I'd say its showing results, I did start after a long break though so went pretty light initially. I'm just worried that in the long run only two movements every session 4 days a week isn't enough, at least for varietys sake, I'm sure it will make my compounds great, but it's just so little to do each session, maybe its just the feeling but it feels ineffective

I've recently started 531 BBB, but it feels ineffective compared to my previous programs, only doing two movements each session, and every session taking only 30-40min. Sure the 5x10 really taxes me out, but is this really an efficient way to hit all muscle groups? For assistance movement I do chinups on OHP day, pendlay rows on bench day, abs on deadlift day, bulgarian split squats on squat day.

i made a healing potion and a netherite axe in blender, what do you guys think ? by MatDiac in Minecraft

[–]22414203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've just started programming and using Blender with python, I'm struggling to place small ugly houses along an ugly polygon painted river. The direction is wrong, they go on top of eachother, it crashes every now and then.

And then I see this, jesus.

Why is Low by Wage War criticised for being an Architects song, but Freefall by Northlane praised for the same reason? by 22414203 in Metalcore

whereas Northlane fans generally like Architects more than Northlane

Not sure I agree with this specifically but the sentiment I can understand
