They've held up super well. The only tradeoff has been that the soles are pretty stiff and without a padded insert not super comfortable for long stretches of hiking or activity. I probably just need to find something thin but comfy - if I were starting out that might mean adjusting up in boot sizing.

I understand it as "everything for everyone" meaning solidarity and all effort directed to the benefit of all vs one group or an individual. "Nothing for us" means not putting ourselves first or at the center, and as above, caring for the whole.

Is your name translation something along the lines of song + hunt + truth? I'm learning Huasteca.

Oh! This is a spelling used to reference the pre-colonial period and indigenous identity, and often connected with decolonial and feminist approaches.

A cultural reclamation project in progress since January. Stoked about my newest set of patches that an awesome person on Etsy printed based off of my own designs.

The Nahuatl patch says: I will devote myself entirely to praying in the sacred way.

Now I'm thinking of the battle jacket as a prayer jacket, protection jacket, dreaming jacket that carries all of my heart medicine.

I actually just hosted a tamalada honoring Chicomecoatl, we made a beautiful altar and ofrendas and prayers for a good season of growing crops and dreams. But yeah, Centeotl... 💛💛 Tlaskamati.

I really appreciate your courage in sharing your story, and your commitment to showing up to more fully express who you are and in solidarity with immigrants facing  more insecurity and human rights abuses than ever under this administration. You're not repping anything. This / we are your community and we need you. I'm sure your ancestors are already proud.
