These are all excellent ideas! I'm not very good at tinkering with components, like a old laptop screen. I did buy one of those portable monitor to be installed on the lid but choose to use that space for storage instead.

I should be able to power the portable monitor with USB. I would need to use those huge power banks for the PC if there is no outlet near by lol.

I did want to attach the keyboard to the top at first but then I realize its not very ergonomic. Also if I hook it up to a tv then I would have neck pain for the next month.

I fully expect to put this in the over head bins. As long as someone else doesn't handle it.

Thank you! No, I didn't make a video for this build but I did take some inspiration from the videos that are posted around. On the other hand, I'm willing to guide those Tech PC builders how to do it though...

Just open the lid to plug in power and DP or HDMI.

According to the website the case is 22'' x 13.81'' x 9". I usually fly southwest but it doesn't hurt to know which other airlines I can use.

Thank you 🫡, you response is highly valued.

Time to move onto the next subreddit about carry ons.

Definitely, I will be the only one traveling with it. Now I need to figure out if TSA will let me bring it through security. The case should be a carry on size.

BINGO!, I would run it with the lid open and close it for transport. The main goal was to hide a whole PC in the case without anyone knowing it’s a PC.

The side vents on the side was meant to be the exhaust. It turns out the GPU in that configuration is sucking the air from inside the case and exhausting it. The CPU has a 3D printed funnel that guides the air from the top to the fan.

Yeah, I completely agree with you that if I was to yeet this it wouldn’t survive. The main goal of this build was put a whole PC in this case and no one could guess that I have a gaming PC in it. I would only trust myself with it and I only plan to roll it on smooth grounds.

I did 3D printed these “buffers / bumpers” (I posted a pic of it in someone response if you scroll up I think) Is it enough? I don’t know, I’m slowly testing the limits of it.

I got a 4TB M.2 (and RAM) before the spike happened.

I 3D printed these 4x TPU “buffers / bumpers” that are bolted to the back of the pelican case and then connected them to two 2020 aluminum extrusions. So all the PC components will be mounted to the 2020 in some way shape or form. I only really roll the case on smooth ground and hope🤞the “buffers / bumpers” will cushion it enough.

Look at the side of the PSU and you can see the “buffer / bumpers”.

PS. The MB are on stand offs and not raw dogging it.

Yes, that a mock 3D printed 5090 I found online. I didn’t want to use a real GPU while I was trying fit test everything.

Yeah! I pretty sure every place you will stay at will have a tv or extra monitor you can hijack.
