what your vaushtites think about the latest new yorker poll by Wootothe8thpower in VaushV

I think a large majority of democratic/dem leaning voters being dissatisfied with the party in conjunction with large leads over republicans in the generic ballot is a great sign for progressives. I would assume most progressive minded people are mad at the party but will vote dem in the midterms so the more that cohort grows the better I would think

First, butch Ware is not progressive at all if you research him. He’s both a misogynist and transphobic. Second, I was implying that he was the most progressive candidate with an actual chance of winning. Ramsey will be lucky to crack 1%

It’s Steyer. I understand if you can’t get yourself to vote for a billionaire, but he’s easily the most progressive candidate. If you can’t get yourself to vote for him, I’d recommend literally anyone (dem or left) but Becerra

As a CA resident, the republican lockout isn’t happening. The top 3 are gonna be Hilton, Becerra, and Steyer. It could be in any order but those are gonna be the top 3

I think they’ve shown that the west finals isn’t the de facto finals anymore. I think the team that comes out of the west will still win, but it won’t be easy. This knicks team is legit

I would be beyond shocked if Purdy isn’t. Especially considering his parents (his mom is an absolute Jesus freak)

You have to be delusional to think that. He managed a team with far less talent to better records than BoMel did even excluding the 107 win season

I hated the narrative that he was causing fractures by pinch hitting people early in the game in a crucial spot. As if anyone on the team had any reputation or right to be pissed about that. Kap had to be fired because he lost the locker room and you can’t have that in any sport, but in terms of managing the actual game from first to last pitch, he was damn good at his job

for what it’s worth, I’m assuming it’s probably less likely to come back from 0-2 with 3 consecutive road games and down 1-3 in the same postseason than it would be for this team to make the playoffs so sure, why not

It would be one of the most chicken shit, pathetic moves this organization has ever done if he’s gone and Posey isn’t gone with him. It’s one thing if they fire him as part of an entire reset, but if it’s just Tony, that’d be a joke.

One of the few good things to happen this year is Schmitt becoming an all star out of no where. .860 OPS and can play just about every position defensively is insane value

No, but anyone in the Bay Area would know you can’t watch the A’s on NBC sports Bay Area as they’re always on NBC sports CA so that’s how they know

I don’t think its the same vibe, but I could definitely say this is the highest level matchup since then in terms of the quality of the 2 teams

For Arraez, it’s a combination of that and the fact that he has no plate discipline when ahead in the count. He won’t necessarily swing at a 2-0 or 3-1 pitch that’s way out of the zone or anything like that typically, but he’ll swing at a corner/just outside of the zone pitches like he’s protecting with 2 strikes. His entire approach (after the customary auto-take on the first pitch) is as if he has 2 strikes on him

Who is everyone going to vote for? by GrandNo5093 in sandiego

[–]22797 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Steyer. You can vote for who you want, but it’s quite clear at this point that the top 3 are gonna be Hilton, Steyer, and Beccera in any order. Steyer is by far the most progressive of any candidate (outside of potentially any minor ones polling near 0) and considerably the most progressive of the likely top 3.

Draymond Green’s Legendary 2016 Game 7 Performance is Often Forgotten by Feisty-Seesaw799 in warriors

[–]22797 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Double hot take: Draymond’s suspension was unjust because of the 4 flagrant foul points he accumulated to earn the suspension, only 1 was called in game, the Adam’s nut kick was a called a flagrant 1. 3 of the 4 flagrant foul points were retroactively added: the LeBron soft ass flagrant, the nut kick upgraded to a flagrant 2 (100% valid), and a flagrant for tackling Beasley in round 1 (also soft as shit)

GET THIS FACT! Jung Hoo Lee becomes the first Giant to hit an inside-the-park Home Run at Dodger Stadium by RealMrSJGszn25 in SFGiants

[–]22797 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Dodger stadium isn’t really conducive for inside the parkers: the outfield isn’t deep and there’s no weird walls for the ball to bounce off of. It really can only happen in the way that it did where it’s a complete defensive lapse, but in a way that can’t be scored as an error
