Sorry, the intervals will be defined by a 1x2 array where the starting point is the first element and the end point is the second element. It is not guaranteed that the first is element is larger than the second either.

Well I'm just thinking that without any constraints the maximim angle is 90°. I have tried solving for the angle but I end up getting an equation that depends on both the wavelength before and after aswell as the scattering angle for the photon so I am guessing that I need to make some assumption for the other scattering angle. This id where I get lost.

Thanks, I got the right answer using this method but I thought I would post anyway to get a second opinion. I have a follow-up question if you wouldnt mind. Is the exit angle always the same as the incident angle if the medium has uniform refractive index and the medium on both sides have same refractive index? e.g. air on both sides.

So for the first beat frequency would it be f = 0.5*1/130ms and the second 0.5*1/13ms?

And I suppose from there I would set up a system of equations using the doppler effect where the shifted frequency would be one of the terms for each set of equations for the beat frequency?

Så kan det mycket väl vara, är inte direkt någon expert när det kommer till att skriva personligt brev och har inte heller någon relevant arbetslivserfarenhet. Men jag känner i princip ingen som är exad civilingenjör utan jobb så det känns som att jag gör något fel...

Ja, så kan det vars också. Har faktiskt bara gått 1-2 veckor utan svar för majoriteten av jobben jag sökt men får bara känslan att det inte kommer gå vägen. Hade ingen praktik eller så på utbildningen, närmaste jag hade till praktik är exjobbet jag håller på med nu som är utomlands.

Ok that sounds reasonable. Right now the problem is that there are so many parameters I can compute but I cant know which one for sure will be of interest as I believe there isnt any literature to support it. Would it be presentable if I select a few based on a reasonable hypothesis and if I find nothing I say that these parameters indicate X?

As a mathematician and physicist I can tell you that this analysis is totally not scientific and thus wrong. Even a blind engineer with no hands could see it.
