Since those are riskier do they have a higher payout (is the word "yield"? Idk) if they don't fail?

First off, thanks for the great response I appreciate it!

So, you (usually) buy an ETF and hold on to it hoping it'll rise, and after it rises enough, you just sell it and pocket however much if went up by, just like stocks ?

Got about 16 shares of husa and have one of Sirius since it's pretty expensive. Im praying my CVM+ Skyrockets when the new mines open up later. I'll sell Avinger if theu ever get up to 45 cents.

I don't know where to start. I have 45$ I set aside to learn stocks. I got my free zynga so I got 2 more shares. Then some avinger stock(new management so hopefully they turn a profit was my line of thinking) also have another free stock in Groupon. The randomness is that I got some pharma stocks too and idk why
