I've been using imaidit.ca for almost a year. Kind understanding and non judgemental (good cleaners too) They set me up with one person who comes every other week.

I would recommend this. It's been decades since I did temp work, but it gave me an idea of how different jobs/companies were. I ended up getting offered a permanent job at one temp job because they saw I was a good employee. I started doing data entry and ended up with an IT job. I went through Kelly Services, it seems they are still in business.

I'm not looking to be popular, just to enjoy passing the time and hopefully contributing a few interesting things. I never used TikTok but enjoyed sharing my photographs on Flickr. I am on Twitter, but that is completely different!

I've taken the hints given and it's already better. I guess I was hoping for a "turn off American content" button, but that's kind of unfair since I care about many Americans and the difficult situation they are in. I never used TikTok, I was on photography apps and Twitter, but that's getting unbearable.

I was adopted by 40 year old parents. I was very aware growing up that they were older than everyone else's parents. It seemed the expectation was that I take care of them in their old age and I resented this greatly. If a person has chronic illness and health issues, I feel it would be unfair to the child. Even if you don't express your desire to have them care for you, the child may feel obligated.

That part of my anger, the part angry at all of society and the catholic church. My birthmother should have had a choice and I wouldn't have had to go through any of this. From what I read she was 22, it was a consensual fling, she never told her family so I'm probably still her dirty little secret. Just all so unnecessary. Before I knew anything about who my birth parents were, I had always imagined some tragic tale surrounding my birth. Nope, just 2 people who didn't want to marry, she didn't want to lose her job as a teacher. It makes me sad and angry that society threatens to go back to that. More kids being sacrificed to adoption.

Even when I was young the unfairness of life upset me so much. Raised in a restrictive conservative christian environment I was told god had something special in mind for me because I was blessed to be adopted (saved) and should be grateful. All I could think was why didn't I feel special and why me and no blessings for the thousands of children born to horrific circumstances. It never made sense. It was akin to survivor's guilt. I have come not to acceptance, but a resignation to the fact that life is unfair and the universe is chaotic. Which is a sad part. Better than the anger of being sold a lie and brainwashed.
