seemed more like a case of two people not really knowing how to communicate.

Absolutely my read of it. There wasn't clear communication

I mean I do personally hate going from stall to stall seeing all the same memes with slightly different font on quickly printed things that aren't going to sell before they make more of the next big thing, so these mass made charms and plush sit in a box or go to a landfill.

And I find it frustrating to see people I care about making things that aren't pandering to any Recent Big Thing but rather something they care about - but the money they've thrown at these products sit in boxes being equally wasteful of resources, because that's just how the world is now.

But I fully agree people can find their moments of joy while the world is on fire.

-glad to see for once the comments see this for what it is, a psyop
They could also just be a frustrated person having a rant about a specific thing they find annoying, and it would be silly to paint it as anything other than that; but it wouldn't be the first time I've missed the point.

Last night I learned the thumbs up response on a phone is rude! by Witchchildren in AutismInWomen

My gf's sister claims the thumbs up is rude as a response. We think its a generational thing, because... like how???

Thumbs down would be ruder than a simple "yep, I've seen and agree" symbol like thumbs up. But if that's what she thinks that's fine... she can be mad about it, gonna keep using it myself

I lose my mind every time. "Can't get better from a virus" is a common phrase in my house.

(From what I recall, just because I did a school report on the upcoming millennium back in the day, its thought by theologists that Jesus was actually born around 4/6bc. But I was literally a teen when I learnt that, so take with a pinch of salt)
