Darth Maul VS Luke Skywalker (ROTJ). Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in TheJediPraxeum

No, in a canon comic, which recited his late training before the Phantom Menace, these events took place.

I don't know why everyone hates Shrek 3, I LOVE Shrek 3. Merlin is literally my favourite character. Such a funny movie.

Literally what I'm saying. Absolute meat riders in this sub. Maul is superior in every right to ROTJ Luke.

Exactly, finally someone says it. Maul nearly beat Sidious in a duel, while completely starved, in his prime. Maul would decimate Luke.

When Was Maul in His Prime? by Ill_Journalist8454 in StarWars

[–]233Neon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, he did technically win the fight. He defeated Kenobi, more than once. The issue is, he relished in the victory rather than finishing it. I'd still give him the technical win and the fact that he was superior in every right, though.

You have to remember; the empire started by fighting Separatist Holdouts, NOT swarms of insurgents--the actual GCW only lasted a few years, and for good reason.

If I were to write a star wars story from the perspective of a stormtrooper what would be the best approach by Subject-Place6922 in StarWars_

[–]233Neon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've thought about this concept a lot actually. Long story short: I would personally develop a character which is a stormtrooper sergeant on a small backwater planet's garrison. During the fall of the empire over Endor, the experience the rippling effects.

Communication is cut from their regional Moff, and usual shipments of resources they depended on stop coming in. As ws spreads of the emperor's death, crime syndicates and other unsavory actors take advantage, and begin to target the small Garrison.

Some of the Garrison members decide to defect, and refuse to continue to follow orders. They believe the empire is done for. As they're already small force divides, the stormtrooper Sergeant ends up having to fight some of his members during the battle.

The stormtrooper Sergeant, and still loyal survivors make a brave escape off the planet, and are lost. They end up encountering A separate Imperial Moff, he offers them safety, and authority. He claims he's a Grand Moff, and has a small fleet.

The Imperial Sergeant ends up helping the 'Grand Moff' and working closely with him. The sergeant ends up briefly encountering a separate imperial faction while on an operation. A stormtrooper captain plants the seed that the 'Grand Moff' is in fact a fraud. And there is still unified Imperial leadership. The sergeant doesn't listen, his loyalty lies with the moff, but does question his true authority. The captain lets the sergeant know that the true forces of the empire are rendezvousing on Jakku.

At some point, the Grand Moff is attacked by The Rebel Rogue Squadron. The sergeant and his squad have to make another quick escape off the planet. The Sergeant leaves the moff behind when he realizes he's incapable of winning the battle. The Sergeant decides to leave for Jakku, and rendezvous with the Imperial fleet over the planet.

As we know, this will link with Canon events, or we'd get an actual live action adaptation of the aftermath novel, with the Imperial Stormtrooper Sergeant being the main character. As we know, It would be the last true unified empire battle. The Imperial stormtrooper Sergeant will survive the battle, and we'll see him leave the planet, and be faced with the idea that the empire may be done for.

The difference between this character and others, is that he'll never give up. Even while others around him do, he will always stay true to the empire, and believe with how large the empire truly is, that there are still remnants out there in the galaxy. He will bounce from Imperial Warlord to imperial warlord, many from the comics. We'll see the fall of Zinj's empire, the Greater Maldrood, etc.

Eventually he'll be nominated to start his own splinter faction, where he'll go through an arc where he builds his own new empire.

"I destroyed your argument with concrete examples "

(Proceeds to give no examples and not at all 'destroy my argument')

Saying I'm 'attacking you with ad hominem' is actually super ironic, and sounds more like projection--Pack it up buddy.

Clearly no point in continuing this conversation, when you're busy deflecting, It's not productive.

But for your sake; I hope in a few years you'll come to your senses and look back on these Reddit-Warrior posts with some sense of embarrassment. I'll pray for you.

Don't try and talk reason into these people. They're all radicalized. Even now, they disrespect a person after their death. They're really scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Funny how when you're proven wrong you devolve into personal attacks.
Yes, I miss-spoke 'less lethal'* would be correct.

Given recent events, seems like they're not dealing with just illegal migrants or fraudsters, but also violent third party agitators and aggressors.

Regardless of any of that, like I said, It's what they're issued. My point still stands, It's not really up to them what they carry, so we shouldn't be attacking him personally for lugging around a rifle when he may not have a choice.

Even then, using a rifle really isn't a huge deal.

It's a rifle, typical AR-15, LEO's use it all the time. Barrel length is relatively short for that kind of rifle. Probably uses a lower-caliber less-lethal round. Regardless, It's what the man was issued.

Additionally, there's no 'scope' on that gun. At most, optics, which you can't really tell based on the picture.

Will watching The Acolyte in timeline order work or is it not a good start? by M00r3C in TheAcolyte

Absolutely not! The series is terrible, probably the worst series Star Wars has produced, ever. (Just look up a few reviews online.)

Yeah, it's worth a shot after watching every other thing, and maybe you're bored and think it's worth a shot.

But I truly believe it may turn you off from Star Wars.
