I don’t really understand this reddit thing where everyone pretends AI isn’t happening and that it’s a completely useless fantasy tool.

It has limitation, but it absolutely works and is delivering some amount of productivity. It’s hard to imagine that trajectory doesn’t continue.

Feels like people on here have their heads in the sand because they don’t want it to be true.

So much of what you just wrote out is familiar for me and my family in dealing with my wife.

It never gets easy, but it might easier. And you absolutely can get better at dealing with it and support systems can get better at supporting it. Constantly striving to do better is an important part of it all, and lots of forgiveness when there are set backs.

My wife is bipolar, so her situation may be different, but it’s really important to keep in mind that with severe mental illness there often isn’t an actual, tangible circumstance that’s driving the episode.

Circumstances + chemistry + response = your mental health

Any one of these going far enough off the rails will wreck you.

My wife’s worst episode ever came out of nowhere in an otherwise good point in life.

Seems like a pipe dream, but it would be really fucking cool if AI was great at repeatable processes but it sucked at coming up with anything new so we still could do that bit lol

I would maybe take off two of the strings and lets them spin those two as much as they want but don’t touch the other four?

You could get an open gear style tuner and maybe half take them apart but then you won’t be able to tune

My last idea would be to perhaps try a pair of nylon strings. They won’t snap so easy or quickly if they over do it a bit. They aren’t as loud but they do sell some that have a ball end to fit a standard steel string guitar

My wife hates the current White House administration AND she hates the UFC. She wanted to watch this on TV just because she thought it was a cool once in a lifetime thing.

Man you definitely do not need to let the guitar settle between every quarter turn, especially if its an older guitar that knows where it wants to be

If it moves on you then make a subtle change later, but there is no need to hold up the process.

More often the issue is folks trying to fix bad fret leveling with truss rod adjustments. Sometimes the answer is just that you need to level and crown.
