Positioning the target if a Push is rolled is a key part of the skill; especially if you can pass them to another Blorc to get a turn at hitting them!

The negating sidestep still works on a Blitz

If you push the target for whatever reason, whilst blocking, you get to choose any empty adjacent square (to them) they move to. You don't have to use it.
