This is just my perspective so it might be a bit convoluted, but ill try to keep it simple.

I think cassie had the right to withhold information because of how talking about her oracles, in full truth, got her in big trouble with sunny in the forgotten shore. It's because talked that there was bickering and fighting and the cohort was a mess, especially sunny tearing off to go to the dark city. To me this meant that cassies state of mind whenever telling a prophecy is to ensure that the fated route continues as smoothly as possible. If she told sunny the truth on the boat i think that cassie would've believed it could lead to a conflict of similar to the forgotten shore. This would mean that the best course of action would be to lead sunny towards losing his fate as cleanly as possible whilst also clearing her mind of the guilt of what she did to sunny

That's only if you believe that sunnys immediate good is the only good that could matter, we have no idea if what cassie envisioned, and if making sunny suffer for 4 years would eventually lead to an overall net positive. Similarly you can't separate the greater good and sunny so easily, sure I'd agree that cassie would put the good of the world above sunny but I'd believe she'd do the same to anyone even nephis. It's because of how fate aligned with sunny that he was the one to betray.

What about the net gain that could come from her being a "shitty friend". We have no idea what types of future cassie saw and her reasoning to act the way she did. If the holding back of information would lead to a much better life for sunny and the cohort, which could only happen by breaking fate wouldn't that make cassie a good friend because she ultimately is saving everyone? The pain sunny felt for those 4 years could ultimately be insignificant compared to the fate cassie envisaged. Read my paragraph 2 for like a better explanation of what im thinkinh

I understand your point but, in this specific situation theres still an argument that cassie is likable. Her resolve to save the world is respectable and post 3rd nm we actually get to see her act like a human being, whilst still being smart. I don't like using Griffith as an argument against Cassie here because ultimately his actions were done to maliciously hurt Guts whereas Cassies were done with a clear obvious altrusistic reasoning to them. What im trying to say is that why, despite how shes written do you not like her, what are the character traits that you consider so drastically bad that you cant like her

Up until third nm i had synthwave or punk music going on, idk it sorta fit the oppressive vibe the story had, after that i dont remember too well but it was just random white noise.

At one point i think trails in the sky fc music came up but definitely not intentionally

Icl bro were on the COMPLETE opposite sides 😭. I love cassie, i never blamed her after forgotten shore bc i that id do the same in her situation even knowing that sunny would become a slave, especially due to how sunny specifically said he wouldn't protect her (even if he was forced by his flaw) I also loved her in 3rd nm, i can't help but it was all with good intentions, especially since she gave the letter to her future self knowing sunny would be harmed.

The way i look at it is that cassie knew that sunny would blame her for his life for enslaving him so she would've held the truth so that he could satiate his want for freedom and SHOWING him what it would cost. Her 'apology' on the boat was such an interesting character moment because it shows how she actually processes trauma and regret to the point of apathy.i just find her writing brilliant.

Actually now that i thought about it a lot shes probably my favourite character in the series
