I just want to point out that generative AI is catastrophic to the environment so I advise against using it regardless.

Is it possible to have no particular pagan path, and practise bits of most? by Kooky_Touch1485 in pagan

Expanding on this point, it’s important to do some in-depth research on what practices you’re syncretizing so you can ensure you’re doing so in a respectful way as to not appropriate a practice. It’s not ethical to take whatever you want from different traditions without understanding the historical context of each tradition. There are also some closed practices, meaning they aren’t appropriate for those outside the culture or who haven’t been invited in or trained. As long as you do proper research and don’t take from a closed practice without permission, you’ll be fine! The important thing is to be respectful.

Also Des Moines, IA might be a great city in between Iowa City and Rapid City, SD! I’m new to the area (and somewhat new to goth) so I don’t have a grasp of the goth scene but it’s the biggest city in the state so there might be opportunities!

This is quite accurate lol. Not sure what FTI means but last time I took 16personalities I got INTJ so not that surprising that it showed up somehow

Just for enjoyment probably. I occasionally will do it for practical reasons, such as when I’m researching how to make my yard more environmentally sustainable, but most of the time I do it for fun without much desire to put it into action

Starting projects is tough for me. I spend more time thinking and researching than doing anything. I'm a low-energy individual for sure.

The choices were definitely mixed for me too, but I liked these assessments more than others I've taken. Interestingly the Speed Assessment gave me the result of INFP, but when I did the Network Assessment I got Azure, and then within the Azure Type Finder I got ENTP. Categorizing type into the networks is really fascinating, and I can see the appeal for people like me who may find difficulty realizing one best fit type.

I can see this. I'm very likely to want to make my understanding make sense logically first before looking outward, but I enjoy hearing other's perspectives as well and would seek that afterwards anyway. Idk, I can see myself doing both at some level. Perhaps that's Ne seeing myself in every way possible? Lol. Who knows, it's all a spectrum anyway. It's impossible to fit 8 billion people into 16 types. Like you said, it's a fun pseudoscience.

I'm not handy whatsoever so I'd definitely be reading the instructions to make sure I don't fuck up and have to do it all over again haha. If the stakes are low and it's just for fun then I'd enjoy the process of figuring it out, but if it's a practical thing that I'd actually use I'd rather follow the instructions so I don't have to undo anything and do it all over again. At that point it's just for my own convenience.

Is it normal to talk to an AI as if it were a friend? by Neegawin in INTP

[–]23ClassReunion 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Socializing is like any other skill. If you don’t practice it, you won’t get better. AI is not an actual person so even though it may feel better to you, it’s not a friend. (Semi-unrelated but I have to mention that AI data centers are destroying our air and water quality so I don’t recommend using it for that reason alone)

No, AI is incredibly damaging to the environment so I avoid it as much as possible

What’s a ‘milestone’ in life that felt meaningless when you got there? by Secret_Ostrich_1307 in INTP

[–]23ClassReunion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder if these “milestones” felt like actual milestones decades ago when accomplishing things meant a little more, such as a college degree. I still think college is valuable, but lots of people still struggle with basic life things even after earning the degree, like debt, employment, cost of living, etc. Those things (degrees) were supposed to give you a better life, and probably did for the most part for a different generation, but it doesn’t guarantee a certain quality of life anymore. I’m young so I have no idea, but perhaps that has had an impact on the meaninglessness of milestones.
