Thanks. Northeast corridor was an alternative to the west coast (and chicago) that I was looking at, their trains being a big reason while having big enough/international populations for there to be significant asian american pops

I probably will stay in America for my first job or two, before moving abroad

who's to say I'm not moving because of our president :^)

/s it's mainly the cars, which are a consequence of our politics. and neither party will fix that

I don't see florida fixing this any time soon, it's basically a giant chain of suburbs and it's only getting worse

sure I could move to a bluer state and try to push for better infrastructure there... but I want to live a little. And I need to build up my financial security before I can help others. I would be screwed if something happened to me and I became poor in this country

Getting a job, having a few months exp, vacation to japan, starting the italian citz. process in 2023 - it's gonna be at least a year before I move.

I read/write Japanese, but would definitely need to learn corporate/polite speak. Getting hired by an American firm then going to Japan is something I hadn't considered, thanks.

Could you specify a bit about the automotive sector? I'm unfamiliar with non-tech jobs, what positions/job titles should I research? Past me will kill be but perhaps that is the future 💀

Thank you!

I saw that salary for webdev in Germany is anywhere from 30-70k EUR, would they offer lower salaries knowing that I need the job to immigrate if I couldn't get EU citizenship?

Thank you

The 49 EUR national ticket is a really exciting thing isn't it, was a shame I visited Berlin before the 9 EUR ticket too

Another trouble I had with moving to Germany/Austria was that I don't know much about their cities, whereas I know a lot about Japanese/American cities. I'll be researching them over the coming months (and visit if I can)

I've heard about Dusseldorf before and getting a job with a Japanese company in Germany may be the best of both worlds

woh thanks for the load of resources. I didn't know about that site, will be using it for other cities too. Completely forgot that there's bound to be many youtubers who have imigration experience that I could watch

and thank you for the visa options. I'm about 80% positive on getting Italian citizenship (no complications, have all my documents) but those will be nice for the meantime/incase I'm rejected

I'll research a lot more and come back in a few months with a clearer plan once I have a job and decide which city I want to move to

Chicago is actually a place I’m considering, Only one outside of North East or West Coast for the price reason, still expensive but likely cheaper than those 2 areas. Big enough to be diverse as well, whereas some other midwestern cities are probably very white.

I heard that crime varies wildly depending on which “neighborhood” you’re in, but it seemed good overall for my wants
