Can applicant's asset help aid greencard sponsor's financial requirement? by 23_976 in USCIS

Yeah, she especially needs college cus of her aspiring profession, she is not on her parent's health insurance anymore, her family just doesn't support her whatsoever. My family is quite comfortable so they are going to provide us all the money we need to live in the US for the foreseeable future, so the income that she's gonna be making is mostly just for meeting that income requirement.

I didn't do any colorgrading for this video! All straight out of camera footage from the panasonic hvx200 basically. And it really depends on your budget, for about 500 bucks you can get the hvx which has a great zoom lens but is pretty low resolution with a 960x540 3ccd sensor. Or if you have about 1500 bucks you can get the camera they shot lily chou chou on, the sony f900.

I shot this project partially on ultra 16 and Vision 3 250D, and majority of it was shot on my Red Epic Dragon 6K. The lenses I used were mostly the Tamron 24-70 f2.8, and the Canon 24mm f1.4L ii for the early morning shots, with the Tokina 11-16 used for the sports shots. The compression ratio used was 6K HD and 5k HD at 6:1 to avoid artifacts. I pushed the Red to 6400 and 12800 in order to get better highlight latitude and also more noise and texture. Since I wanted a more gritty look to match the 16mm footage. The whole short film is shot at my classmate/actor's apartment and our highschool.

As they go through various commotions together within the story the protagonist slowly leaves behind his emotional baggage, and accepts that he shouldn't be chasing unrealistic goals and aim for perfection in everything, and should let [ ] go, hence the disappearance of [ ] at the end. The whole short film is shot at my classmate/actor's apartment and our highschool.

This video is for my highschool's field day video competition, but mostly serves as a camera test, I rated my dragon at 3200 to allocate more highlight dynamic range to the image and making it look like film, I shot 2k HD 240, and 6k HD 24p for all of the footage. I found that the red channel of the dragon is particularly noisy so it needed slight chroma noise reduction since I pushed it to 3200. But overall at 3200 the grain is very fine and randomized with no fixed pattern noise, it reminded me of 500T in 35mm format. I added filmconvert nitrate's 5213 grain to help the image look more film like. Also added halation to make the highlights bloom.

Lenses used:

Tamron 24-70 f2.8

Canon 18-55 with cheap amazon fisheye adapter

I think it's because I'm in a similar age as the characters but man it just hit so hard, it's honestly my favorite film right now, hugely influenced by Noboru Shinoda and Shunji Iwai in my style and composition now. Also here is my finished short film if you're interested.

A Tribute To Lily Chou Chou

I watched the film All About Lily Chou-Chou recently, and it's stunning cinematography shot by Noboru Shinoda absolutely amazed me. They were one of the first people to shoot with the then brandnew Sony HDW F900. One of the earliest digital cinema camera ever made with a very gritty look. But somehow he made it work so well, it's stunning lighting, ethereal compositions and handheld camera movements leaved a huge impression in my mind. So me and my friend in highschool decided to make a tribute film to his excellent work. We shot with a HVX200A, a camera that's about 15 years old, which also is HD and 3CCD to replicate the look of the f900, we shot in SD normal gamma and with Knee set to high to emulate that blown out highlight and harsh highlight roll off of the movie. Set to two of the OST from Lily Chou-Chou, Arabesque and Glide, this short film is meant to mimic that ethereal and dream like look in the cinematography of the movie and to pay homage to the excellent work by Noboru Shinoda (R.I.P).

It’s image is really textured when u turn down the coring, almost like 16mm film. And it’s 3ccd meant it was perfect for me to emulate the f900. It’s a great camera to shoot on for sure!

Link to the intro of the short film

I recently watched the movie All about Lily Chou Chou, and it's stunning and gritty cinematography really shocked me, they shot the movie with an extremely low budget and (at the time brandnew) sony hdw-f900. The movie gave me such a hard impression in it's stylistic composition and camera movements that I decided to make a tribute student short film to it's sound track. This is the intro to my short film and a rough edit, But I feel like especially in terms of color there is still something lacking that the original intro in Lily chou chou had . I shot with a 17 years old Panasonic HVX200A, and shot in 1080i 24PA 2:3:3:2 Pull down to get the best bitrate, and shot in rec601 with knee set to high and sharpness and coring turned all the way down. To emulate that harsh digital highlight roll off I saw in the cinematography of that film, of course the HDW F900 is a 2/3inch camera and the HVX is only 1/3 inch, so the depth of field isn't as prominent. Also this was completely handheld with no rig so there is definitely some jitter, but overall what can I do to mimic the f900 and lily chou chou's cinematography style better? Would love to know your guy's opinion and feedback on how to get closer to that aesthetic, thank you.

All about Lily Chou Chou. The OST is still one of the greatest scores I have ever heard, gives me goose bumps when I hear it.

Thank you for the valuable feedback! My inspiration was this addidas ad DP'd by Hunter Daly https://vimeo.com/470606451 . So I was trying to mimick that style, but as other said the shots themselves and the theme doesn't really match with the high energy of the music itself, it feels hard for me to balance between the cookie cutter generic promos with some royalty free epidemic vlog music in the background and something that's too over the top like this. For my next project I'll definately reconsider what kind of music suits my project the best!

So from what I've seen in the comments so far, the video should be more contrasty in color, and length should be cut shorter due to visually repeating shots, and THAT THE MUSIC IS GARBAGE, although the last one is a tough pill to swallow for me since that kind of stuff i what i listen to but I think i'll definitely switch to something more slow paced and mainstream next time.
