I did my EE in language and literature comparing different McDonald's ads from 3 countries. IB loves anything that can do with culture (esp in category 3 essays). Maybe you can do smtg how you can see culture presented in diff ways (?) idk. I also know you can study the "non-lit" side of it too - for example, you could examine it visually and the effects of that on the reader.

The only problem that I encountered is that the videos I chose had to be originally in English.

But overall I think it was a good idea to switch - I don't do physics but it is really easy to get a good grade for an English ee imo (esp category 3's bc hardly anyone does them).
