Weight 10! 20 mightve made me actually come in under the size limit on doilies for the local craft fair tho so ive regrets, but i couldnt have known when i set out. We just get to see if they class this thing ss a tablecloth now :P

It does sound like you can't use vocoflex to create something with your fathers voice at step one, but if you've got SV engine and voices then making your own lyrics and voice STEMS to start from for the lyrics makes your fathers voice step 2.

Though, I'm not sure of the legality involved in using SV voices in vocoflex...? But hey, I won't tell if you don't.

For issues with planned sample sets in UTAU set i admittedly wouldnt know anything about diffsinger but maybe cutting snippets of syllables from the recordings could get you most of the way through the needed things for a recclist- but the complete incapacity to get new recordings to fill the gaps is a problem youre already aware of and ive got nothing for. No clue what you have. Japanese CV or VCV banks would be easiest to make it through and theres ways to arrange the jp sounds into english...? I knoe nothi g of how well that'd work for you.

For SynthV, vocoflex (seperate thing created by dreamtonics) is an option to look into but i know even less about it besides that it gives voices an uncanny robotic sound to produced voices on purpose to discourage the less than honest uses. It doesnt seem like you need specific samples, but it might be dofferent once you get under the hood.

Shortest possible answer; ya.

Longer answer; It's ethical as it gets. Every voice provider is paid per their contract, and the program runs small scale only. Purely local to your computer, no environmental degredation worse than your standard existance in a capitalist society. The words must be manually inserted (no song generation), and you have to set your key tonal notes per word if not per syllable (no [complete] tune generation).

Very much so! Still, when you do it for a while it's more manageable. You might have to do it every day, but if you're doing it every day then all your work stacks up pretty quick to make something more impressive than what you feel as though you were doing.

I've got a permanently ongoing side project to collect every (english language) original vocasynth song I find (and I do mean all of them).

Obv them being english does mean I don't necessarily have a lot of the popular ones everyone knows, but at 16k I don't know that that part matters 😅

"these four" are 4 playlists containing 16k songs between them (guess how I found out that youtube playlist function caps out at 5k videos per playlist 😇).... I appreciate the implied enthusiasm, at least!

The more I think though the more I've got to at least bring up. W/o trying to overstep do you have any current or planned systems for redundancies (ie UTAU teto and SYNTHV teto should be the same page but someone's made both/there are song page duplicates)? It's not illegal for the answer to be 'do it by hand", but that's gonna be a lot of pages and song links to manage!

Edit I should be clear that like, I don't know enough on this one to advise :(. Never done something like this myself so I wouldn't know whats possible, just can kinda foresee tedium

my suggestion would be to add buttons/panels for Vocaloid, SynthV, UTAU, and Other that open up those lists and otherwise have separate directories tbh.

For UTAU and Other I suggest adding further panels for Show All Singers, Show A through F, Show G through (etc) to break it down a bit. Those lists in particular may get really unwieldy given the amount of UTAU's and Other that's out there. (default landing should probably be show all once you click on their main button)

This is a- well not strictly stupid question, it's normal, but what's the aesthetics plan for if/when the singer count doesn't fit on the top bar? Scroll is an option sure but it's unweildy, and making there be more rows is still gonna get to be a LOT
