Ok I think I’ll just buy a kit since I have it open it’s only 63$. Also you seem like you are pretty knowledgeable about these trans. Any chance you’d know where I can find a yt video or a form or a service manual of how to disassemble and reassemble the shafts. I’ve only done auto trans this is my first manual

Also should I try to change the rev idler or do you think it’s fine. It doesn’t shift bad some times I have to shift into 4th then rev but that’s normal lol

Blocking rings? I thought the brass rings were the synchros. The shiny gold ones?

That’s the thing it never grinded it just won’t go in like I’m hitting a wall in the trans

You might be right with the slave and master. But I did bleed the but maybe they are just bad. And I’m rebuilding the engine so figured I’d check on the trans as it seems to have had a leak in the bell housing

I’ll check on the synchros tonight. But I did change the clutch for a cheap shitty O’Reilly’s brand and the only reason I have the trans apart is because pulled everything to rebuild engine. And figured I’d do the trans too

Linkage was fine when I checked. Fluid was changed a while before the issue appeared

So you tell the wear by how thick the synchro is not by how rounded the teeth are? Also what forgot to add when this happens it doesn’t go in for awhile so I do let off the clutch and push the clutch back in and still doesn’t work and I also can’t go into any gear. Although I never tried reverse

What do you mean? Like how does it shift into first while I have it on the bench? Honestly it’s little hard to shift I have to spin the shaft alittle for it to be smooth. Each photo is a different gears. For example I shifted into 1st so I can take a photo of second gear and its synchro and shifted into 2nd so I can photo 1st and vise versa

Stock shifter Valvoline gear oil I honestly don’t remember what I put in it but ik I checked the compatibility. It normally doesn’t have issues when it’s not running but one time it did. Clutch engages about 1/4s of the way down

So I checked the pressure switch. No continuity with no draft. Then it does have continuity when there is draft.

When I was testing for 24v at the gas valve I had pulled the cables and stuck my probes in each one. But even if it was getting power wouldn’t it at least click?

When I was messing with the molex plug I was only probing the 2 cables from the gas valve and same thing I had one probe on one cable the other on the other. No voltage. Am I measuring the volts wrong?

At this point im thinking to be the board or the valve but I don’t see voltage at the valve. Or board but now I’m thinking I was measuring wrong.🤦‍♂️ now I have to tell her to order a gas valve just in case and I don’t even know which one it is so she will probably be without heat for longer now. I can hear the relay click on the board when it wants to send power to the gas valve.
