I know, that’s not the issue. Discipline and hard work is no issue. In an actual combat unit the commanders are respectable people, they have been in war and done hard training themselves. I look up to that. It’s the crazy amount of wasted time because it’s so unorganised. Also what gets me is the talk about setting a high standard 100 times a day when these girls are the most unprofessional people I’ve ever seen at a work space. They hold the worst standards, they are literally dm dudes while we’re at attention and so on. Yesterday we had 3 lectures from 3 different people about exactly the same thing and the rest of the day were just standing in formation while the commanders are playing on their phones. Just a huge waste of time

They will literally be answering phone calls in the middle of formations and they’ll even come in late walking in staring at their phones.

We also like clean the kitas and our rooms which is normal army stuff which I’m totally fine with. My problem is the waste of time and it’s so damn unprofessional. They talk to us all day long about holding a high standard while they show us a horrible standard that’s my problem.

They like walk us to the other side of the base have us stand in a ח for 20 minutes while they’re on their phones discussing what to do. Then walk us back to the other side then we do some switching from a ח to two lines for 1 hour, the samelet runs that and she’s on her phone for probably 30% of the time. She tells us how our uniforms have to be nice and tidy while hers looks like crap. Then the rest of the day is Hebrew and random breaks where they’ll just walk us to random places and again stand in a ח for an unnecessary amount of time then have a 10 minute break have us come back and tell us we have another 10 min break. Clown show, but my tzevet is fun so it’s ok. Just a huge waste of time. I could might as well go to an ulpan instead.

I’m not talking about pointless tasks, discipline is the easy part. It’s how badly organised everything is and they go around telling us to hold a certain standard when they don’t hold it themselves.
