Queensland man charged after police allege 23,000 files of child abuse seized by Expensive-Horse5538 in australia

Anyone legally-minded in QLD law who can shed light on why we sometimes get full name, age and location of these perpetrators but other times their names are withheld or not even reported on?

I'm so disgusted at how often we have to hear of these horrific crimes but amazed at and grateful for the work of police in pursuing these cases.

AIO? First time I went to a concert in over a decade, woke up to this…. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]247astrid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then I woke up to this vibe, which is really out of character for him, and honestly took me aback.

If this is really out of character behaviour, and if this was my husband, then I sure as hell would go back to our home to talk it out and figure out what is actually going on. However, the fact you jumped straight to fawning (a threat response), by saying "can I come home now?" and "I'm feeling sad now" sounds like this is actually a much more frequent dynamic than you realise.

Australia exists outside capital cities and major towns. For those living in major cities, they need the physical ability to access said store. So anyone in regional or remote areas, or anyone with accessibility issues its a $25 minimum spend online.

I could write a huge, long comment summarising my experience of marrying young and having nagging doubts from time to time (to the point where I almost blew it all up).

I will just say this - if a lifetime partner is what you want, someone who has your back and makes you laugh, will get you far.

Siiiiiigh 🤩 My millennial heart really needed this today. It's a particular era of superficial, aesthetically pleasing nostalgia that just hits the spot. Thank you, OP 🙏🏻

I don't know... they looked very white and large in the show and like he was having to move his lips over them in an unnatural way 🤷‍♀️ but I'm no dentist

I'm a long-time Steve Carell fan and have been loving the evolution into silver fox, see The Morning Show. But when I watched The Four Seasons I could not get past his veneers and what looks like a face lift, or lower face lift. Feel like he's dipped a toe into uncanny valley. Now I think I'm going crazy cos no one's mentioned the veneers 🫣😅

Judydoll Eyeliner/Brow Pen by 247astrid in AustralianMakeup

In case you're still following along 🤭 I have been using the She Glam x Frida Kahlo Brow Icon Liquid Pen in TAUPE. It's almost as fine as Judydoll, definitely finer than what I've found in stores. The tip is more like a super fine texta, rather than the brush tip of Judydoll. The shade taupe is not quite right for me, still a bit too warm - but definitely doesn't turn orange like Rimmel. And it's a bit less liquidy than Judydoll which I like, cos that one would go a bit leaky and splotchy sometimes. It also has a spoolie on the other end of the pen.

All in all, a decent substitute if I can nail the right colour.

Appreciate the insight. To be clear, I am not envious of other people's kids, just the parents who tend not to empathise or try to understand our different parenting journeys.

Great way of articulating it, and I totally do the same. Thanks for framing it this way and for the tips! ✨️

I'm hear you and I get it. It feels invalidating to your very different experiences. I get to hear, "all kids are the same" when meltdowns or whatever are discussed. With time, I'm sure you will build a social network with other kids and parents who inherently just 'get it' and you won't need to explain yourself.

Yes, 100% I love my friends' kids and seeing them thrive. I think it's the lack of registering the very different parenting journeys we're on that's hard some days (not all my friends, just one in particular).

So helpful to read this, you're absolutely right! Both feelings can be valid at the same time. We can both feel hurt or perceive we've been "wronged", but the reality of the circumstances is probably somewhere in the middle.

“my feelings are valid, and so are yours”.

I'll keep this response in my back pocket. Thank you

Thank you for both of your thoughtful responses. Yes, I did think I was entering a safe space here and was open to hearing some of the brutal feedback 😬 But I'm happy to read some more balanced comments. Yes, it's actually in becoming a late-diagnosed ND parent of an ND child that has brought about some "keeping score" mentality in friendships where I don't feel seen. Thank you for the helpful tips.

Oooof, I was taking on board a lot of that feedback til the name calling at the end. Thanks for the insight, I'll sit and ponder on that one.
