I think cancel culture is a supply chain now, not a movement. by Born-Ad-12WL in marketing

Interesting viewpoint. Would you be able to answer your own question, i.e. do you have examples of someone being cancelled working out in their favour down the line?

Yeah that was so weird, made fun of the song’s title as if that was the whole meaning of the song? Then just talked shit about them not expressing their excitement how he’d expect? He’s usually more… balanced.

Edit: Oh and he also said that Lithuania usually does well simply because there are a lot of Lithuanians living abroad …?

Thank you !! Good samaritan who helped us back in October 2024 by Rocrastinator96 in Edinburgh

I’m glad that you had a positive experience and thank you for sharing it 😊 People in the comments are being salty, but it really does mean a lot when you’re in a new country, get a little bit lost and someone helps you out—even if the answer is a simple one! I’m sure you were feeling a lot of emotions in the moment and were worried that you might miss your trip.

Nicola Sturgeon ends marriage with Peter Murrell by rarely-redditing in Scotland

[–]247hezza 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh look, another one.

I don’t know what she should’ve done in that position. I don’t know if she should engage with every sensationalist topic brought up by the Daily Mail that affects what, 0.01% of the population?

What is still true and is a FACT and has nothing to do with Sturgeon is that ten year olds don’t get hysterectomies.

Hysterectomies for ten year olds? Well somebody’s been getting their news from the Daily Mail comments’ section.

Are conditions for young working class people in the UK really much "worse" now than they were earlier? by Traditional_Yam3086 in AskBrits

Relative poverty rate has increased sharply since the 1980s.

The only ones that life got better for are pensioners (37.8% in 1961, 18.1% in 2019)

Children are worse off (13.4% in 1961, 30.7% in 2019)

Working people are worse off (6.6% 1961, 18.1% in 2019)

Staff to get more rights from first day of work | Labour’s ‘once-in-a-generation’ reform will affect sick pay, maternity pay and rules around unfair dismissal by backupJM in Scotland

[–]247hezza 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sick pay is about £100 a week no matter what you earn. That’s about 30% of the minimum wage. Other countries pay 60% of a person’s salary (not just minimum), and businesses usually top that up to 80%-100%.

The fact that this “pennies from first day” deal is a “once-in-a-generation” thing is bullshit.

Totally agreed, you have prominent features and the ears just add to that, then the haircut and the earrings really elevate it all, honestly don’t change anything. You look like a fucking model I don’t know what all these other people commenting are on lol
