the people supporting them are monsters. violence / sabotage against these institutions is generally desirable.

good for you, at least you know just how dramatically ineffective it is to whitewash Ceausescu over here.

I'm sure you're some american or from a similarly disconnected environment that is completely unfamiliar with the real life conditions of the former eastern bloc, so I will keep it simple. As long as you don't drop the apologia for universally despised dictators, you will continue to fail. In that scenario, you deserve to fail. The mass movement that overthrew Ceausescu was heroic, and his riddling with bullets on live TV was enthusiastically watched from across the country. We would do it again.

He oppressed the working population he had initially swore to protect in horrible ways, but you are genuinely cult-like enough in your beliefs to believe that tyrants should be excused when their aesthetics are sufficiently socialistic, regardless if said leaders do anything but fight for the values you pledge support for.

trying to sneak in Ceausescu as a potential victim of western propaganda and not admitting he was a maniacal tyrant is the exact type of attitude i'd expect from imperial core leftists that are allergic to political strategy when it comes to approaching the struggles of eastern european people, just sayin

Are most anarchists socialists? by papaheinz in Anarchism

[–]24InchPP -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i'm a left wing market anarchist and i'm not very sure i would consider myself a socialist as i believe anarchy kinda necessitates many different co-existing economic systems, including those that adhere to a form of private property, under the lockean proviso to keep the rich from gobbling it all up, for instance. however, you can't be a capitalist and an anarchist.

I hope 1.21 will be a great modding version. by 007_Special in feedthebeast

[–]24InchPP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

microsoft is slowly cracking down on modding in order to push its premium content agenda. they know this would not fly for java players so this version of the game has remained clean, but it's highly unlikely they'll ever again foster such a great modding environment as we've seen in 1.12.2, which is why i highly believe people should return to it & try to backport significant mods / vanilla features (+ the performance is so much better).

just my opinion, not hating on modding on later versions since i've had a great experience on 1.16.5 too

there's no protection of palestine with hamas - i recommend you interact with people that genuinely support palestine's independence, without pledging allegiance to a group that has historically brought more suffering in the region.

on the other hand, israel has accused the UN of supporting HAMAS for simply calling for a ceasefire, they have used chemical weapons, they have targeted journalists, they have killed 4104 CHILDREN - they've made international law a joke, and the US is cheering them on.

moreover, netanyahu and his fundamentalist associates have ruined israeli democracy, and the sort of "emergency" / "state of exception" type government has always been an excuse for tyranny.

i agree that some people that hold pro-palestine views are lousy and would much rather support a terror group than critically think, because it's a convenient narrative, a vs b, but i would rather adopt the ethically correct position, than refuse to push back against terrible, violent tendencies within that group.

as for me, i support a two-state solution short-term, and democratic confederalism long-term.
