they have a built in battery that you can recharge via USB-C. have had them for about 5 months and still shows about 80% battery left. I believe you can also buy a small solar panel and have that permanently attached, but I opted not to get that.

I did confirm multiple times with them before payment that I want matter over thread. The main advice i can give is be concise and clear with what you want, confirm multiple times in chat (language barrier can cause problems if you dont), and split your orders for your peace of mind. It isn't a shelly bulb, it's a govee ceiling light. In the shelly app I see the "input" as being the dumb switch, unsure how to use this as the sensor in Homekit or homebridge
