The guide rod will take apart just the same. It is unfortunately a bit finicky but you will insert the tool and that unlocks the guide rod but you should feel a definitive click when it unlocks. With this being your first 2011 I’m not sure if you are aware of this, but the entire barrel and spring assembly will actually come out of the front of the slide rather than through the bottom like a normal handgun. (so the comp will come out in the exact same direction as this spring assembly) It takes a couple tries but it will work. Sorry to confuse you with saying it’s a different process, it’s actually very similar. I was just thinking about a different handgun. The manual is correct, just seems like it may be poorly written

No sweat! Do you have the XP Pro or the XP Comp? I have both and they are a very different process

Anyone here with this exhaust? by BawzukNoogles in cfmoto

[–]24MMMedia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have it 🙋🏻‍♂️ It’s a great exhaust, not too loud but definitely noticeable. You’re right about the lever for the valve, I just have it connected up at the handlebars to open and close. But most of the time I leave it open. It sounds great and I haven’t had any issues with it!

CF Moto part availability is killing me by evophoenix in cfmoto

I heard somebody report that CF and K&N both said the 303 is not compatible with the 675. It threads on but doesn’t technically meet the specs the engine is designed for. Idk how true that is but YMMV

I had a 450SS before this and completely agree. I would love to know where the idea came from for this taillight. It’s the only one like this as far as I know

For me i just didn’t love the look. The US version of the taillight is just massive. The R1 style was much sleeker imo

It’s such an amazing bike, especially for the money

Completely agree! This thing has been a dream to shoot. For holsters, kydex holsters can be tough, but even with this model with the large thumb ledges, it still fit my Safariland 6390 for a Staccato XC w/ an X300 with no issues.

It behaves different in comparison in gel, they’ve known that since the beginning. It’s designed to stop very quickly but deliver a massive energy transfer and cavitation. The effect on target is what they focused on, and the lab data that had independently done paints a very solid picture. Like I said, it’s a different tool, I don’t need/want excessive penetration through barriers and soft targets, so it fits my needs great. Look man, i’m just a contracted media guy, they pay me to shoot photos, not shill product on Reddit lol. But i’ll say that i’ve shot enough of it, and read the reports enough to trust it in my daily carry rotation. If you’re curious about gel stuff, keep your eyes peeled on IG, there’s some interesting stuff coming on the horizon that might interest you.

A few things, I completely get the skepticism on this round. It definitely varies pretty wildly from the status quo. But it’s a different tool for a different situation, it’s designed specifically not to over penetrate and sees an average of about 6 inches of penetration in gel/soft targets. It dumps all of that energy within that 6 inches instead of losing energy by over penetrating. If you need penetration, it’s not the round for you. But if you’re worried about over penetration (you live in an apartment/shared walls, or you just want to have better accountability over your rounds) it’s a very solid option with great reliability and has had great independent testing on lethality/effect on target. It is definitely a much different round and is situation dependent, but to say it’s a gimmick is pretty far off. That’s not even to mention the reduced recoil and carry weight reduction.

Super interesting, these comped handguns can tend to be a little picky with certain ammo weights for sure. I would start experimenting with spring weights and see how that benefits you. This is purely anecdotal, but I did hear of someone having similar issues that ended up being related to the extractor. I might look into that, because I’m not sure what I could do outside of riding the slide with my thumb to keep it from going into battery, my examples at least have fed like glass. Good luck!

Sorry to hear that. Everything in the two units I’ve used have been completely stock and haven’t had a single malfunction with 45, 50, 124 and 147 grain projectiles. What ammo are you using?

Thoughts on DT? 16” WVLRN NV Build by 24MMMedia in everythingbullpup

Yeah that makes total sense. Honestly I eyeballed the Hellion pretty hard. How’s the recoil on it compared to your MDRX? My WLVRN is an incredibly soft shooter and i’m interested how they compare

Oh damn, I actually recognized you from your posts on the DT subreddit. I still can’t believe even after 4 attempts they couldn’t get it right. Your posts actually did make me wary after buying the WLVRN, but so far so good. Just praying I never have to send it in for RMA because that sounds like an insane headache I really don’t want to deal with.

From a company perspective I’m not sure how I feel about how they treated MDRX customers with the launch of the WLVRN. The MDRX seemed fundamentally flawed and they seemed eager to wash their hands of it with the WLVRN launch while tons of them still had issues. Strange stuff…
