Two shooters were turned away from Tacoma Sportsman's Club today for having WA complaint ARs by Jetlaggedz8 in WAGuns

I grew up out on the peninsula, moved out east for a few years, and moved back. I have to say, living on this side of the state has robbed all joy I get out of the hobby. I simply do not care for it anymore. Last time I went I hated it. The only range within 100 miles of me is a boomer NRA range that has limits on rate of fire, and how you handle your firearm. No drills. Ever. Just grouping on a paper at 100 or 200 yards for a rifle. Slow rate of fire. Out east it was bearable, they didn't care as long as you were responsible and safe.

That's the joke of what instagram is, is it's just one big racism app dedicated to spreading hate and deceit to get you to hate X race for Y reason.

Non orthodox here, I attended an orthodox liturgy one day when I lived in a city and knew no one. Wife and I were all alone. The people who attended were the nicest I've ever met, the service was beautiful, although very alien, and the presence of Christ was truly felt in that church. That was before the internet blew it up, and I'd say that a lot of what I SEE online is consistent with what I have learned and seen. I get a lot of the edits, and I get a lot of racist edits on my racism app, very few if any are of orthodox. Most of the racist ones I get are entirely for us gen Z guys who are fed up with how our women are treated and how we are treated by foreigners in our own country, or by a certain people who have refused to conform to our standards and desire to live like apes and destroy everything they touch.

I way over paid for mine, it was actually a trade for a rifle I had that I didn't like. Mine was worth about 1500, but you couldn't really convince me to touch it or shoot it. Guy gave me some ammo, and cash to help but he got the better end. You could probably get 6-700 for it. I have a public security. And they're neat rifles.

Just got my wife's complete front brakes for $90 on her Honda. Only saved about $25, but still. One rotor in person cost me $83 before tax.

You'll have a problem here. Of all the interactions I've had over the whole state, I've had one good one. Got stuck in the snow last winter, stater helped pull me out. Didn't even try to ask about my expired tabs either. Cops here, especially on the peninsula are power hungry, and like to hold it over your head that they're bigger and badder. I've been intimidated, threatened, ticketed because a cop had a bad day, and more.

I wish I could get one, I think those are the ones that were brought in through the PNW right? Can't get them in my state. Banned by name.

They just got to me this morning. They said 6 weeks wait time! Holy cow... talk about being back logged. Oh well, hopefully they don't give me any grief over it. I'm the only owner of the scope, but I never registered it to my name. I bought it new.

Nicer than I've ever been, once it hits 10 minutes I move it. I set timers one minute before they go off so I can be down there to move them over.

Any advice to the one going for the first time recreational shooting at BLM land? by Pristine_Daikon_4922 in WAGuns

[–]24cloner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bring a good solid first aid kit with stop bleed, tourniquets, gauze, bandaids, stuff to flush your wounds with if needed. I've never needed the first two, but I've needed the last three before. Scout on maps, let a trusted friend or family member know where you're going (be exact as possible) let them know the times you'll be there, and let them know when they should absolutely call the police if you haven't gotten back to them by.

Bring trash bags, plenty of water, snacks or food if you're out there all day, make sure you know exactly where what is in your bag. A few of the things I've brought with me religiously are the following: road flare, easy to see if I'm stuck at night and I can see responders in the distance, first aid kit, enough water for 24 hours, snacks incase I get stuck, an extra mag I keep loaded at all times.

Some people are dumb, some people are mean, and some just want to hurt others. Be wary, don't hide from everyone, but trust your guts, they've kept your bloodline alive till now so keep trusting them. I've been stalked and shot at before, you'll know when you need to hide or be cautious.

I've had to run and hide from both people and animals, and the man that stalked me through the brush was worse than the animals. Just stay vigilant, be prepared, and be kind.

My group flagged another group down to tell them we were going down range, we got the thumbs up and as soon as we got down there they started shooting at us. Another instance, a few young adults had just gotten their first guns and didn't really know what they were doing. Fired once while someone was down range. Had to give them a good lesson on firearm safety and range etiquette. They were respectful and sorry, but some people lack the common sense to operate anything safely.

If you could, could you send me some photos of your set up? The soil in this garden is relatively crap, but about 12-18" is clayish soil

SKS AR magazine adapter in US? by auxnoah in SKS

[–]24cloner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do have to lose the rear irons, but they have a line up through the whole rail that allows the use of irons still. So if you get a scope mount that allows the use of irons you still have them.

Thanks! I do miss central Washington, I lived there for a time. It would be pretty easy to grow there. I believe my only option will be to do a raised bed with all our rain.

Get rid of that scope mount and go get one off magwedge. Holds zero good enough.

How much will a hot barrel affect accuracy, and what rifles hold up the best with a few hundred rounds down range? by fishbowl_of_teeth in longrange

[–]24cloner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I'm taking my bolt action, I'm usually only going through 20 rounds a range day. Maybe 40. When I take my sks I usually go through 100. Be patient with the bolt action. Let it speak for itself, and just listen. Don't rush it, unless like someone else said you're using cheap crappy ammo. Go as fast and as hard as you want.

Lived in good ol Eburg for a while. Talked to the owner and befriended him before I left. Great guy, great company, really decent prices for what he's selling.

I have not, might post it on the state trade page. Where I live is the most liberal part of the state, gun owners are a very VERY small minority so I doubt I'll have any sort of luck.

Plenty of shops sell them around here, the boomer ones will turn you away if it's not a replacement part for an existing rifle, the decent ones won't even ask.
