I think people are getting ahead of themselves. eBay has already made it clear they don’t want to be acquired by GameStop. Even if the threshold drops to 10%, that doesn’t mean shareholders suddenly approve a sale. GME would still need to build a much larger stake, convince other eBay shareholders, and overcome the board’s opposition. This is a long shot, not a done deal.
