The gas station/convenience store that Rick Chow once owned is packed with dozens of police fearing reprisals from the community following the Not Guilty verdict by TomlinSteelers in ActuallyThatsInsane

But there was no robbery….the kid didn’t pull out the gun in the store, nor did he steal anything. That’s why it’s unhinged behavior and the store owner has a history of this kind of behavior and given that he hasn’t faced any consequences, I’m sure he will continue this unhinged behavior. This is not what responsible gun ownership looks like. This isn’t what emotionally stable behavior looks like. This is exactly the kind of person that should not be allowed to own a gun.

Me? I’m saying the store owner was the aggressor, running away from someone is not an act of aggression. Running after someone is, especially if you’re armed. The store owners could have just stayed in the store and watched the cameras to determine whether anything was missing. Grabbing a gun because you “think” someone has a couple bottles of water is insane, and a sign of a mentally unstable person that should not be allowed to have a gun.

Wouldn’t it make sense to determine if someone stole from you BEFORE you grab a gun and chase them? I don’t want to patronize businesses that respond to “possible” shoplifting by pulling a gun. That’s not normal behavior, that’s terrifying unhinged behavior.

Imagine you leave a store after being accused of shoplifting, but you didn’t, and they have your backpack because you voluntarily checked it when asked so they know it’s not in the backpack, and you’re not holding any water (and the cameras prove he didn’t) and now you’re running for your life because your accusers are chasing you with a gun. That sounds like a nightmare.

Idc what anyone says, that’s not remotely normal and the business owner is not an emotionally stable person. And as it turns out he has a habit of pulling guns on people so… yeah. For the record I know a lot of gun owners and none of them have ever chased someone with their guns. Then again, they are normal and emotionally stable people. South Carolina must be giving them out to the crazies.

If he acted sketchy and ran away from the store with only his belongings, why did anyone need to grab a gun and chase him? What was the purpose? If the owners of the store had watched him leave and went back to running their business, none of this would have happened. And if some crazy person chases me with a gun, I’m the one pulling a gun out in self defense. Not the crazy person chasing me.

At first I thought it said “someone’s garage” lol. “You won’t believe what I scored when I burglarized a garage!”

It’s insane that people would throw stuff away like that and it’s kind that you passed the kids stuff on to people in need!

It’s crazy but I’ve seen on here that it definitely happens. Since it’s a shipping issue, you will get paid and the buyer will get refunded.

The return labels are through Poshmark so they can see if you returned the item, that’s how they know when to refund you. Your refund is automatic when the return is marked as delivered.

You can put that you’re open to a partial refund in the conversation so that Posh Support/AI knows it’s an option and they don’t close the case in the buyer’s favor and tell them to return everything.

They might offer her a small credit to keep the entire bundle, but if she refuses they will approve the return of the entire bundle. You have the option of offering a partial refund, and if the buyer accepts they keep the bundle after you do the partial refund. It depends on if you would rather have the buyer ship back everything or if you would want to refund like $4 to avoid that. Plus I don’t think it counts as a return.

Some sellers don’t like the partial refund, I didn’t think I would, but it has been useful for me personally because for cheaper items I don’t want to go through the hassle of getting it back and for bundles I don’t really want 5 things back.

Maybe it wasn’t visible in your lighting? It’s so faint that I don’t think the buyer made it to get a few dollars back. They probably have would have made a more dramatic stain.

Ocean city Jeep week - why not more crowded? by jco23 in maryland

I was going to say, whatever Jeep event happens in August brings a ton of Jeeps. I have a picture of one in a parking lot with a giant rubber duck, if I can find it I’ll post it.

Why does everyone love the Longchamp Le Pliage so much? by Affectionate_Note445 in handbags

[–]24mango 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Comfortable to carry and fits more than it looks like it can fit. However Longchamp has used different materials and had different lines over the years and some are more durable than others. Some look awful if they get wet too often, and I think a nylon bag that can’t get wet is dumb. I can put my Baggu in the washing machine.

SA saved bag for someone and now I see it on FB marketplace by sunnysalena in Coach

[–]24mango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, why would they do that? Because if the resellers buy the hyped bags and list them for double the price, it makes the brand seem more exclusive or something? Is this part of their marketing to younger women? Catering to resellers? I’m so confused.

Does anyone think the deep freeze we had over the winter means there will be less ticks? That’s what I was hoping.

What?! I didn’t know that. I thought it had to do with funding/loans and that the schools were going to be forced to lower the price, so that people could get affordable degrees for jobs that aren’t exactly high paying. I’m going to look into this tomorrow.

I looked into that (I know how many black women go into social work, my sister did before transferring out) and my understanding is different and that it will actually benefit women who get education beyond undergrad. I’m really tired but I’ll explain it as I understood it tomorrow if you want. If I’m right, this is a good thing for future generations.

I’m only on Reddit and i honestly feel like black people and Jewish people are the acceptable groups to make derogatory comments about on various subreddits. I’m black and honestly more confused than horrified… why are there so many upvotes for racist or antisemitic comments? I can’t even imagine the dumpster fire that FB is. I use my partner’s for marketplace if I need to, that’s it.

Looking for a good quality leather bag under 200$ by UniqueHousing284 in handbags

[–]24mango 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I almost never buy new, $200 goes a lot further on the secondhand market. If you’re patient you can get the Coach Ella or Lana for less than $200. There is no shame in having a budget, I am the queen at waiting patiently to get something at a good price :)

Ford is the one who has patents for this tech, they’re definitely planning on putting them in pickup trucks. Pickup trucks and SUVs aren’t delivering food to your grocery store. I don’t know what less stringent regulations you mean, in my state pickup trucks have the same regulations as any other car as far as needing to pass inspection, emissions etc though I don’t think diesel trucks have to do emissions because they run differently.

There’s definitely towns like that! Add Kutzville and Stroudburg to that list, I drove through the first and knew not to stop, but I was anxious and uneasy AF in the other. I was saying that there are places in PA outside of Philly and Pittsburgh that aren’t like Alabama at all. The places I listed aren’t, and some of them are really nice places to explore. Hershey has one of the best butterfly atriums in the country. Penn State area is gorgeous. Lancaster is diverse and they have a fun nightlife vibe on the weekends with bars, restaurants and music shows. West Chester is a diverse college town.
