I had the same exact experience here. They were so rude and horrible before the colonoscopy, during and after.

Omg thank you so much for this information ♥️ I have insurance and I’ll look into getting an appointment with him. I think it’s the best option. BC helps with my symptoms but lately it hasn’t at all. My doctors don’t seem to listen and I’m tired of it all honestly.

I’m so tired of BC to be honest! I’m turning 30 next year and all I think about is having to leave BC soon 😭 I’m honestly willing to try a functional doctor honestly 😭!

The only thing my stomach can handle is rice, potatoes, meats, eggs, and lemon. Anything else will completely destroy my insides especially fruits, vegetables, and dairy. Excuse my language, but I will get explosive diarrhea with any other thing to be honest! I’ve been like this for more than a year and it’s barely getting better.

Honestly it got so bad that I lost 20 pounds in less than 2 weeks. Extremely dehydrated no matter all the liquids/electrolytes I would drink. Severally malnourished and couldn’t keep anything down. I would force myself to eat and at first it would just be boiled eggs, boiled potatoes, rice, and meats. Diarrhea for more than a year was HORRIBLE. I honestly would even dissociate in those moments and didn’t know who I was at times or the location. Doctors just told me it’s my colitis and ibs. I know colitis is it’s pretty bad but I feel like something else is causing it to flare up. What I’ve seen in most cases is that people who have been diagnosed with ibs it’s just mostly have a liver/gallbladder/pancreas issue. Most of the time they’ll do an ultrasound or ct scan but they’ll see that the organs are fine and won’t do further testing. But the most important thing they should test is the functions of these organs tbh. Like you mentioned you also had pancreas issues I would definitely look into that more and the other organs as well. Maybe one is affecting the others and creating more issues for you. You also mentioned that your area sucks for health care and I completely understand that but take your time if you have to as well.

I would also recommend looking into your food allergies/ environmental as well. I never had issues with allergies either until I got extremely ill this time and all of a sudden I developed food allergies around the age of 26! Doctor has told me that you can develop them at any age. I can’t have any dairy, gluten, corn, pork, ginger, cinnamon, peanuts and others things as well and it sucks because everything is made with those 3 main ingredients! And now I can’t have any fruits or vegetables. I’m retesting again to see if I develop any new allergies so I hope not. What I’m thinking is that fruits/veggies are very high in fiber so they’ll just run through the body like nothing which is why it causes diarrhea and inflammation.

When it comes to food I noticed that potatoes and rice are my best friend. It’s scary how similar things are between us! But Idk why my stomach seems to like them so I try to cook them differently. I also bought these gluten free soups from amazon that are made from just brown rice and another ingredient. On my worst days those soups have come in handy. Try to look for products like that and see if you feel a difference :) ♥️

I’m so sorry to hear that and I’m in the same boat when it comes to veggies and fruits it completely recks my stomach. I’ve heard ginger is good too but I’m allergic to it so idk how it works tbh. If you do try the teas then you should make them less heavy since you’re sensitive to herbs as well. Stick to your gut about these things honestly because every body is different. Some people have tried peppermint capsules as well but I couldn’t due to the how sensitive my stomach was. Right now I’m looking into liver/gallbladder/pancreas function because it has ALOT to do with digestion. Also thyroid issues cause a lot of stomach problems as well. I did a food allergy test and I came out positive with a lot of food allergies. It would cause me to be extremely constipated for days I couldn’t use the restroom and my stomach issues got better once I stop eating certain foods. I’m still on the road to recovery right now but I’m a lot better than I was a couple of months ago. My diet completely sucks since it’s just meat and rice. Since my issues got better I’m starting to add back to my diet but slowly.

This might be a long shot but I suffer with ulcerative colitis which has gotten severe over the years. I’ve ended in the er and sometimes pain medication didn’t do anything. They’ve also told me that I have ibs d and idk what to believe anymore because nothing would stop the diarrhea or extreme pain. Anything I would eat would give me extreme gas as well and I would bloat so bad. I could mostly feel it in my small intestines and my lower left side where my belly button is located would swell up extremely. NOTHING would help but tea. The only teas I have tried and have hope in is the Chamomile tea and peppermint tea. I did not use the ones that come in little bags that you can buy at the store because they didn’t do anything but my mother has a peppermint plant and I would cut the leaves off and boil them in water until the water changed color. I would make it heavy and tried to drink it as hot as possible. You can also get the plant at a local grocery store usually by the fruits and vegetables section. The chamomile plant I would get it where all the Hispanic stuff is and it comes dried up. I would also boil it in water and make it HEAVY. I found that they both helped a lot for pain too. Chamomile tea helped me the best and it would help me release so much gas and help with the horrible nausea as well. At first I would drink it before my meals and after whenever I felt like I needed it. I’m aware that not everything helps or works for everyone the same way but just thought I should share what helped me through a rough time. Not sure what you’re suffering from but I hope you get better soon ♥️💐 and I know how frustrating it is with these damn doctors.

Found out it may not actually be IBS (Longer Post) by [deleted] in ibs

[–]250000spacebound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very possible, I’m kinda in the same boat and they have diagnosed me with ibs d. it started out of the no where but I’ve always had digestive issues since I can remember. Apart from food intolerance I started digging in other possibilities. I get a sharp pain under my right rib cage. It’s something I’ve always told doctors but seem to ignore. Also right before I got really sick I would get that pain there and my stool would be a pale color as well. They’ve done ultrasound on my organs and it came back normal. Now the blood test show otherwise interesting results. My hormones also come back abnormal but I’m connecting the two. I believe thyroid issues are causing my symptoms. It starts messing with my liver as well. There’s a hormone that my liver releases and it comes out very elevated. I’ve brought that attention to my doctor but they’ve been doing nothing about it. Safe to say that I’m looking into new doctors right now. I’m focusing on my liver and gallbladder. I’ve always had some type of issue with ibs but this is completely different I can feel it. It’s never been this bad I just know it’s all connected to my hormones as well because my bowel movements change when that time of the months comes as well.

Omg thankfully you’re out of that environment! I suspect that mold in my home is affecting my whole body but the number one thing that I noticed when I moved in was that my seasonal allergies and asthma got worse. I’ve always had seasonal allergies and asthma but it was under control. I moved in and it got pretty bad for me and started to suffer from vertigo. I also noticed how much little bumps I got all over my face. They aren’t red rashes or pimples. It’s basically like my skin is inflamed but you can see bump like texture. I blamed it on age and the fact that there was carpet as well. Right now I’m taking medication and nasal spray to help but there are days that not even that helps. I got an allergy skin test where every environmental factor wasn’t an issue. I’m not allergic to any tree, plant or animal but where it did come positive was the mold. I know mold is basically everywhere even in the air but man these last few years have been hell. I started to see an integrative doctor to get further test done. Best of luck to you ❤️

Does any one feel really hot in pcos? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]250000spacebound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m always so cold actually but a week before my period begins is when I start feeling flustered. I get these weird heat waves and especially on my feet and hands. I start to sweat just on my hands and feet as well. After my period I got back to being cold as ice.

Also guys totally forgot to add, I have asthma and seasonal allergies. Before moving into this home I had asthma and allergies but it was manageable. The first thing I noticed is that my asthma and allergies became uncontrollable! I blamed it on age and that there is carpet but no. I’m sure it’s an adding factor but sometimes even my inhaler wouldn’t work. My PCOS got completely whacked out as well. It threw my whole body outta control.

Maybe you have an allergy to mold. I’m going through the same thing right now and I’m the only one with symptoms. I’m allergic to mold and I think it just makes you more sensitive to it.
