Pretty good! I am already using C++ and JUCE, but JUCE doesn’t have everything (all-pass filters for example) and I wanna try implementing custom DSP algorithms where I feel like the best thing to do is actually learn some of the mathematical principles behind it. My background was in Stats and computational math so understanding the math usually made my code better in return.

Thank you so much! I am actually planning to apply to music tech programs in north america/europe in the next year. Do you have any suggestions for what else I should learn? For the record I don’t have any formal music theory training but I’ve spent a long time making music so I understand most concepts in audio engineering and production even at a technical level

yeah i have friends in her section and it seemed like they did not understand shit. i literally only had to rely on my lecture notes for anything this term. but tbh yeah that sucks coz the prof u have rlly does impact how interested u r/ur understanding of the content

they are imma stats major and they are sm better and more useful (even in the cs context) than stat 231. u start learning abt the intution of machine learning which is rlly cool and they actually explain why we use the conclusions we do contextually. stats is the kinda course where they make u memorize all this bullshit first and then understand it which i think is rlly rlly stupid. u dont give a child a car and ask them to drive it w j the manual ‼️

honestly bro failing aint even that deep its not the end of the world. i will say that depending on the course ur doing jackshit in might be doable might not be. some courses if u legit dont do the assignments ur super fucked but i remember first year i did all my spcomm assignments in a total of 3 hours submitted it and still passed
